the gearbox riders actually have a gear to sprint at the finish where regular drivetrain riders look spun out.

Including when she raced as a Junior, Vali Höll has raced in 9 UCI World Champs races. She had one DNS in the finals (I believe it was due to an injury) and finished 12th in another (I think she had a wreck). She won the other 7.

Cedric Gracia, of course. Gee for freeride, not sure of his trick bag tho. Feel like I accidentally forgot Jacko? I was fully convinced Jackson was gonna go FR/slope from his childhood. Didn't know about all his race experience. Vinny T goes fast. On dirt AND snow. Then attempts 100 foot drops that question how to design the physics of a landing for something that size...

Well Rory seemingly outright calls himself a free racer. A term often given to Brendog, Theo, Kaos, Kade, etc. It's worth noting a lot of freeriders start in racing and a lot of racers have a significant freeride background. Just natural crossover. Brage and Remy used to race. Greg apparently has a really understated free ride background... Obviously Asa can flip. I'm not sure which current riders have a deeper BMX background the way Kade did. Also a lot of racers ride moto in the off season, naturally. Like MOST of them it seems. Won't even name them all. In...

Are there any other "specialty" racers out there? Or just South Africans? Rory is obviously a good racer, but isn't as fast as the world's best, but he is the world's best scrubber. Theo also isn't top tier fast, but can bang out a backflip at Lenzerheide. Are there any other racers that have maxxed stats in one category but...

I'd like to propose a UCI rule change dictating that the Trek Unbroken senior men's team members must wear their World Champs national kits year-round to help me tell which one is which.

I normally wear gloves but when I ride gloveless they don't feel super comfortable and I tend to not push up against them as hard as with gloves on. Not too bad though, because they are more of a hard rubber/soft plastic.

Really cool. I understood (italian is pretty good but technical stuff goes over my head) the goal is to optimize suspension performance for every phase of cornering- opening compression under braking, back to neutral/baseline while rider is neither braking nor pedaling, then stiffening compression when the crankset is under forward load to maximize forward drive. I.e. theoretically providing gains on both corner entry and exit. Proper active suspension system.

My Italian is a little rusty, but it seems this was made using a servo from the RC world, connected to some kind of stroke measuring device on the brake lever blade. The idea being to change the compression settings of the shock under different types of braking events.

I am pretty shit on jumps and as far as I can tell in bikeparks I am far from alone. I wonder how well the system can recognise the shit "in air technique" of your average rider and distinguish it from a WC DH pro about to lose control...

Man, has it ever looked this good at VDS? Seems like its been tons of wet the last few years or full on dust bowl. The dirt looks superb right now. How many men and women get into finals for this, its quite a bit more, right?

Here's one, Medcalf's best world cup result this year (13th) is better than Gwin's (17th). I don't really care who rides for the USA, but if USAC have rules to dictate selection without ambiguity (or salty debate), isn't that good? I'd guess if Gwin really wanted to race & win world champs, he would have bothered qualifying at more than 2 world cups.
