There's so much time to gain over the whole track, vali gaining 2 seconds at the top and then Bouladou getting them back at the bottom is crazy. Womens race was one of the best I've ever watched and the men's is super tense

Don’t have to be Rob Warner or even on site to know that though…can’t believe there’s not at least a cursory skim of wyntv or someone involved to send these guys a note. The 11th hour build of a loaner bike is a slam dunk interest story, the kind of thing that everyone benefits from. They suck at TV.

It’s runs like Kai’s that make me miss Rob Warner. These commentators are talking like Kai rides for Frameworks, when if they were on site or talked to enough riders and managers they would know he had to borrow Dedora’s FW bike because his bike broke during the flight to NY. If WB wants to tell stories and create drama, then it’s crazy to me how they miss little details like that.

Fast AF's previews are so professional, the host Flo knows all the riders, all the team scouts and mechanics and explains the terrain and challenges of each tracks really well. He speaks pretty good English, so UCI/Wbd should just hand him over some money to do an official pre-show

Danny will be a hard salary for a team manager to justify when there’s so much up and coming (cheap) talent around. He seems like he’s always been happiest with the family campervan at the races so I could actually see the sponsored privateer setup working in his favour.

Yeah I have no idea other than the contract is done and the helmet is a surprise later. If you took the helmet without the contract then you just gave away your bargaining power.

Half speculating and half vague memories: the contract is signed a month or so beforehand, but the helmet handover event is a surprise. The timing is key, and bullseye perfect here: Aletha has the overall wrapped, A-Aron hands over the helmet before qualies at the last race on home soil. Chef’s kiss. 😘 👌🏻

How does the Red bull contract work. Everyone always seems to be surprised and are they surprised that they're getting the helmet after they already signed with Red bull, are they putting on a show, or have their manager signed them as a surprise and they actually don't know until the helmet pops out.

Yep. The La Thuile XC course was gnarliest of the year. This info about her was kept kinda suspiciously low profile from a certain point on. At first nobody talked because she had complications during surgery and it wasn't clear if she was going to make it. But after this, I think it was a PB article and that was that. If her confession of IG doesn't make one's eyes wet, I don't know what does...

He has a long-standing relationship with Adidas/FiveTen and Monster, so may be able to bring in some funds from them. I get the impression he did not gel with the Norco, you can get lost in all the adjustments, so the Frameworks bike may be a better match in that regard.

On the other hand, he's done the sponsored privateer (ie, own program, lots of smaller sponsors) before. And if you were to do that, surely one of the leading contenders for a frame to hang stuff off is a FW?
