6/13/2026 1:33am The M9220 has a lever which sits at a slight upswept angle to the bar, why I always thought was a bit weird. Maybe the riders prefer the flat lever shape of the M9120.

6/10/2026 10:30am Trek would be smart to pull an Orbea. Combine your DH/Enduro into one and base it on your long travel e-bike. 3 in 1.

6/10/2026 12:27am My first set of disc brakes were Hope M4s, probably in 1999/2000. On those I recall they recommended a small amount of copper grease on the back of the pads to keep them quiet. Might work on the modern brakes also.

6/9/2026 1:36pm Slickoleum/sram butter is one of those products I've always found so good and reliable that there is literally no reason to change from it - I was thinking they might have done it to reduce the cost and stick to one manufacturer, but if thats true they certainly aren't passing those savings on 😅 It's probably really good - but so is sram butter so just use whatever you feel like or can easily get. From the little info I can get out the MSDS it just looks like calcium sulfonate grease (like slickoleum) with there own 11 herbs and...

6/9/2026 1:35pm Not sure that I'm ready to join in on mixing different greases just yet! I will stick with the SRAM butter for now. I think the biggest performance improvement I can give myself is servicing my suspension sooner rather than later. A freshly serviced fork is a wonderful thing.

6/9/2026 1:31pm RS started using it last year. One of the RS shops is actually trying to blend it with older SRAM butter. Parking lot, butter feels better, but at temp 920 is better. I run it blended, no issues.

6/9/2026 9:01am I hope they release the aftermarket coil conversion kit they had at Sea Otter, keen to get one of those for my Zebs.

6/6/2026 8:30am From the manufacturer's website: For use on all forks, shocks, and reciprocating hydraulic systems where smooth action is critical. Safe for NBR, Fluoroelastomer, Urethane, and Silicone seal materials.

6/6/2026 8:30am Which is is completely the opposite to what Rockshox are saying https://support.rockshox.com/hc/en-us/articles/46636920845211-Is-SG920-… Almost certainly BS,but I'm not brave enough to try it in my 2025 Zebs, going to stick with the SRAM butter.

6/5/2026 4:21pm Just looking at the new Maxima SG920 grease that SRAM claim is a step up from the usual suspension grease and was keen to try it in my forks. Unfortunately the service info on the SRAM site says it isn't backwards compatible and can only be used on MY27 forks, they say it will cause mayhem with older forks/seals. Can...

6/5/2026 1:50pm This is one reason I tend to roll my eyes when people talk about slashing the U.S. defense budget. I'm not saying every defense program is a good use of money, spending 2 billion on one jet can be debated, but defense and aerospace spending support more tier 2&3 manufacturing than most people realize. Sure, you might work at a company that doesn't make defense products, but the reason you can get raw materials, machine service, coatings, or manufacturing supplies locally may be because a handful of ma&pa shops in your area stay in business making aerospace and defense parts...

6/3/2026 1:19pm Looking at the other image of the fork, some of the details appear similar to current Fox & Marzocchi products: the style of the serial number on the rear of the crown, the style of the driveside dropout and rebound (?) adjuster. For reference, a photo of the Bomber Z2 dropout (from https://www.experiencedgear.net/home/marzocchi-z2)

5/20/2026 2:36pm I will also chime in here as a bigger rider that does enjoy this style of bike... a more linear feel like that is ideal because of the pressures I need to run. Otherwise bikes get WAY too progressive for larger riders. Easier to add tokens than be left with none to take out and then still be way too progressive. one of my favorite bikes was the strive... specifically because after the Vital review from Robot etc. they said it was way too linear and had to add spacers. I got on it and rode absolutely perfect for me.
