Santa Cruz, Transition, Pivot, and Canyon among others all run Fazua motors. Are these bikes going to turn into expensive bricks when spares run out, or will we see the IP sold to someone else? Hard to imagine its as valuable as it was even a few months ago. Should things turn for the worse for riders running Fazua systems, I'd imagine a brand like Santa Cruz, who prides itself on customer service, is going to have to offer pretty attractive "crash replacement" deals to get riders onto their other platforms. One complaint I have that applies to so many manufacturers is about rotors. Surely, it is possible to design floating rotors with replaceable brake tracks? The waste and cost of throwing out really nice, expensive carriers when a brake track wears really annoys me. I get the critical nature of the rotor / carrier connection, but that’s solveable, surely? Surely Galfer, Hope, Intend, or someone else could pull this off really quickly… We live in a time where steerers are replaced. So even if it required tooling, that would pay for itself fast if a shop offered the service.

my 2 cents after spending some time on the bike is that I really want to spend more time on the bike. I think it's a modification to be able to run a 27,5 wheel in a 29er rear triangle. As the wheel is smaller, the axle needs to be lower to keep the geometry of the bike. Thus this thingamadood to lower the axle position. I guess it's two aluminium blocks anchored in the (elongated on the V10) dropout hole to prevent rotation and bolted together as much as possible.

Yeah I'll back this up as well, I switched to proper wax years ago and it's pretty incredible - the cleanest your chain will ever be, and its possible to have close to zero wear in some cases

You ideally want to be biasing your climbing for 2nd and 3rd gear because you get a better chain-line ( especially if you have SRAM Transmission on a non-Super Boost bike since that uses a 55mm chain-line which creates awful angles, Super Boost helps bring that back more in line which is why I mention it) and on most modern 12 speed cassettes the 1st gear is aluminum while 2+ is steel. This explains why it's called Orion and not DW6 or DW5. With either of the latter two the two lower links are counter rotating while with Orion they are corotating. Oh, as for Ochain being limited to 32T chainrings, hopefully this 32" wheel situation will bring more Ochain and power meter options for chainrings smaller than 32T. I guess you CAN run a 32T if your terrain is not particularly steep or your name is Nino Schurter on a 29er, but it's hard to imagine it will be a popular option for 32".

Those look thick... at least as thick as my 2.3mm TRP S05e rotors, possibly more.
