I think it's more likely subscriptions will come in the eBike drive unit side first. Look at the latest gen Levo. The regular version is 666W (#edgy) and 101Nm. The S-Works version is 850W and 111Nm. As far as I'm aware, it's just a software limitation - the hardware is identical. Shimano introduced an over-the-air update for the EP801 to...

I think this might be more of a US/Canada-centric view. The Specialized Turbo Levo line is over 10 years old. The Canyon Spectral:ON line is over 8 years old. Those are just two examples of model lineage/aging, but they were released to capitalise on an already-growing market. In Europe, eBikes are huge, and they totally dwarf mountain bike sales. This...

Porsche have closed their Porsche eBike Performance business. Across the overall "strategic realignment", more than 500 people are losing their job - not great news. More details: https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2026/company/porsche-sharpens-focus-on-… Pertinent piece of the PR: Porsche eBike Performance Porsche eBike Performance GmbH was established to develop high‑performance e‑bike drive systems and market them worldwide. Due to fundamentally changed market conditions for e‑bike...

I've heard that Privateer is more or less mothballed at this point, but Hunt Wheels are still on-going. In case anyone wants to dip in, their latest financials are available here. They only cover up to September 2024. While I'm posting, thanks to everyone who contributes to this thread. It's a really interesting read.

Someone tell Leo Kokkonen that the investors at Nobl have no obligation to Evil’s customers so this actually can’t be done

It sounds like his leg was so goosed he couldn't even do a warm up, but was just up there to keep the pressure on Goldstone. It was a letdown having the defining moment of the season being some random guy in the start hut, but I don't really begrudge Bruni that. If I'd smoked my leg in practice on...

This morning Jackson, Amaury, Loic, Lachie, Bernie, and Benoit, and all the other fast guys are all doing the gap that Breeden pioneered. Richie cased it and went OTB. He’s been talking to medical for the past 5 mins. Also unrelated, trek is running blacked out maxxis, and Richie is running transmission.

With the number of wildcard slots available I don't think many teams are going to be too worried about it? As far as I'm aware in DH every team that's applied for wildcard status has got it? It's only in XC where they had a surplus number of teams, so some didn't make the cut at certain rounds.

Just to avoid Nukeproof looking like they're associated with this, this is purely a link farm: "The site is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program,an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com." The address is 125 Bates Brothers Road, Westerville, OH which is nothing...

Ibis released the Oso earlier this year with the Gen 4 Bosch CX motor, just as Bosch released the Gen 5 CX motor. The new Oso was half the price of the previous one, which I doubt would have been the case if it had a current-generation motor in it.

I fully get that it's banter. My point was more that I don't buy into the whole "it's not phasing him/he's just letting his riding do the talking." You can see from those clips and the random bits in the 'Bruni Files' video from Andorra that it's personal, which is natural. For the record, I'm here for it. I've followed...

I'm not sure the "#kryptonite" comment on the post about Bruni pre-Andorra and calling riders like Bruni "old cunts" in the Theo/Monster video is necessarily "letting his riding do all of his talking".

Part of this is purely down to there being way higher "top tier" product now. To look at drivetrains as one example - these are numbers from last year, but I don't think anything's changed massively: 2017 - SRAM XO1 - £1,005.00 (Corrected for inflation: £1,348.01) 2024 - SRAM XO1 - £1,234.00 2024 - SRAM XO1 Transmission - £1,715.00 So...

Sounds like he got injured after the last World Cup so can't ride? Jim Monro is out with concussion after getting hit by a rider who crashed off the course. Sounds like Kade is out too. Dropping like flies already and they've barely started!
