5/9/2026 7:24am The last disk I bought was a 220 MDRP and it was one of the worst. I probably should have returned it. The previous 2, a 220 and 203 were ok so I guess they're batting .666.

5/8/2026 9:23am Honest question, why pick 32" as the next size, why not 33", 33.25" 34"..? If bigger is better just keep going, right?

5/6/2026 12:49pm They said a lot but could have saved all that marketing talk and hooked my by simple saying, it'll arrive true out of the box. I can't be the only one that receives only wobbly disks?

5/5/2026 12:32pm I got bombarded by them on instagram, posts on every blog, multiple tire related forums... I don't even remember everything I read it was such a frenzy. FY, I should have said was referring only to Gravity since that's my experience.

5/5/2026 12:14pm I noticed the same but I have to believe it's due to the more supportive sidewall and slower rebounding rubber. Both of which they highlight. I can't think of what else could cause it they haven't mentioned? I'm also back to my prior to Radial Maxxis PSI. Which made me say a prayer for my rims but after a highly...

5/4/2026 9:43am I'm going with the foam to protect thr valve.. You can see where it conforms to the spoke and it looks kinda porous when you zoom in.. Never heard of this but I guess it could help prevent a rock from taking out a valve..

5/2/2026 7:43am This was my thought too. I have a few versions of the ochain and the variances are minimal. SRAM could use a small arm spider for different splines and offsets that bolts onto the ochain mech since it's essentially an oversized chainring.

5/1/2026 2:01pm I agree with that analysis for almost every type of component but I would have thought O-Chain would be an outlier. I can't see that many OEMs putting O-Chain on bikes other than DH bikes, primarily because it's a large cost they can cut that a non-enthusiast consumer that walks into a shop will not notice if it's a regular chainring instead, but will notice the extra couple hundred dollars in cost. DH bikes are also so much less of the overall market share, and most of them are bought by hardcore enthusiasts that are likely to customize the components...

4/29/2026 10:04am I wrote this on Pinkbike but will crosspost here to as I firmly believe ABS should not be involved in WCDH. I'm all for innovation in DH and I am absolutely fine with electronics in suspension but I strongly believe that ABS has no place in competitive DH. Braking ability and threshold braking are massively important skill that do separate riders. Having a system that would theoretically allow a rider to just full pull brake but not lock the wheels would be a huge advantage on most tracks and certainly would for low grip tracks or conditions. Formula One as...

4/29/2026 10:04am The first race of the World Cup Downhill season means plenty of new things to try. Rick Schubert looks scouts the tech in South Korea to find everything from Reece's crazy setup to anti-lock brakes to prototype goods. Go fast, takes chances (with your tech). The stem heard 'round the world. Gamux going all in. Local race success has us wondering how it'll fair in the big leagues. Only out-of-the-box thing missing is a 32-inch wheel. FOX on the grind. ABS brakes on Giant Factory bikes? We're listening... Commencal Muc-Off tidy as always. Make your own "internal" routing. Loic's new...

4/28/2026 10:27am Are less oChain options an innovation? I might not know the meaning of the word "innovation" if it is?

4/28/2026 10:25am Would be nice but I believe CX gen 5 has a different offset for a 55mm chain line than Avinox.

4/28/2026 10:17am They look a lot like the crappy stamped RT66 rotors. In the first picture you can even see where the poor flatness is causing the pad to not contact the rotor fully.

4/28/2026 10:15am My red splatter Mavens were like this, every 3 months on the dot. I replaced pretty much every part but the pistons and seals and nothing helped. Changed to the teal splatter and they've been flawless for going on 9+ months. I have no explanation or helpful input, just commiserating

4/27/2026 6:45am Having tried the TC in the rear, Gravity/Soft, the take that makes sense in my mind... the new stiffer gravity casing seems to support the sidewall more which allows the radical tread to flex and do its thing, rather than with the previous gravity casing which itself would flex rather then the tread.

4/22/2026 6:30am Every set of Mavens I've felt on display, right out of box bikes have felt like this. I can understand why people don't like them immediately. After all these year and iterations of products I guess I've just come to accept things like brakes should be bleed out of the box, fork fluid levels should be checked out of the...
