4/7/2026 3:42am All of Sram’s new road brakes, released after DB 8s, Mavens and Motives, still use DOT, strangely enough. (If anyone cares.)

2/5/2026 3:08am Charge port placement, not good for anyone outside of Arizona because water. Cheesy name for an adjustable seat tube? Come on. 9k for a base model but that wasn't surprising was it? Same CS length across the sizes, bandaided with an adjustable drop out. Fox trying to get rid of the podiums that aren't selling? Cant wait for these to be in the way on the trails. Ridden by people who have no business riding anything but the canal path.

1/25/2026 4:24pm What are you smoking brother? Jan completely changed the entire road and gravel categories. Grant’s bikes have inspired an entire new and ever-growing category of alt-cycling. I can’t speak for the others but confidently going against the grain, having some kind of evidence of why their ideas are sound, and then having the cycling industry learn more and more each day how right they are doesn’t seem like a problem. I don’t even ride those kinds of bikes anymore but game recognizes game.

1/24/2026 6:45pm That guy continues to strive for the asshole of the year award. Any validity of his opinion has been removed by that kneepad/short gap and that’s even before we talk about his “low IQ” dismissal of everyone who dares to disagree with him 😂

1/18/2026 5:30am The rumor I was told was that every Maven lever is getting a retooling of the “swing link”, since they got so much guff for having a heavy lever feel. If anybody in here has put hands on the latest 13 speed road and gravel stuff, you’ll know Sram can achieve an extremely light lever throw. In other brake rumors, I’ve been told the other S company that makes brakes is ditching Ice Tech, going 2.2mm thick rotors, and abandoning 203mm sizing. Also, that bleed block you’ve been bleeding your 8220 brakes with? It’s wrong. It’s meant for the thicker...

1/5/2026 7:09pm I am not one to dis someone but that guy is sooooo annoying announcing DH. He seems perfect for the pits and maybe in corral post race but commentating he is super in accurate with what he is saying - ____ ALMOST OUT THE FRONT DOOR every 3rd rider. The nonsense that dribbles out of him is just an embarrassment. It's gotta be crazy hard but they need to replace him. Rewatching all the races from 2025 and if my wife is the room I have to put headphones so she doesnt have listen to him!

12/22/2025 6:59pm 1. Raaw Madonna V3 — A bike about which I think, every time I get on it, "This bike is perfect." 2. Sram Maven Ultimates — I don't mind the progressive lever feel and the bases aren't silver. 3. Randolph, VT — shh. 4. Building wheels — Found my groove this year. At about an hour from pile of parts...

12/11/2025 11:13am That last thing I want to see is an e-bike from Raaw. With so much turbulence in the industry they're better off just sticking to their core lineup and continuing to refine it. Plenty of other brands to choose from if you're so set on an e-bike.

12/9/2025 5:39pm Can I be honest, if I can't just click on one thread and read the entire conversation, I probably won't read the forum at all. I find this thread pulls me in and then when I have more time or I'm curious, I check out other threads. But without this main one, I wouldn't bother visiting vital. Wish it were different but I hope I'm at least helping by giving voice to some other people out there. I enjoy catching up on 6 pages of inane comments to find a nugget of cool rumors. Others might be different.
