12/10/2024 3:21am Nothing against your comment, but just reading that, and then realizing that this forum is discussing advancing ways to make bikes more electronic just made me shudder a little.

11/27/2024 4:07am Another little birdie also mentioned to me that the Forbidden E-Bike is going to be “very special”. If it comes with the DJI motor, it will indeed be very special.

9/11/2024 9:31am I’m seeing GX-level builds with unspecified derailleurs in my embargoed crystal ball… I haven’t seen anything about it in the orb, but I’m really hoping the X0 tier survives in a cable actuated format as well.

6/24/2024 6:36am Not sure I'd class Merino wool as a tech rumour, having been around since the 13th century... But I'll agree it's the best material for pretty well any sports-related activity. I'm partial to Mons Royal stuff, especially the merino chamois shorts. Costco always has some version of a Merino shirt for sale, probably the best deal you can get.

6/10/2024 4:49am Offering riders stock options or equity would be a significant pivot towards worker ownership, aka a co-op or distribution of the means of production. (I would hope under this arrangement, the same would be offered to all employees, not just riders.) Pretty socialist idea you’ve got there — just about the apex of “woke.” Which way is it, bizutch?

5/29/2024 2:46pm Oh I was literally joking. There's ZERO chance viewers have any say on this. You think Gee would give a flying fuck? From what I heard the reason it's not happening is a) they couldn't get a decent netting solution up in time and b) sounds like they ran against a timeframe to actually fix the jumps. I'd even be convinced they didn't think the fix was feasible. From what I can see the reason the transition is so tight is just literally physical space. Could mellow the lip, but you still have a G out issue on the run...

5/17/2024 8:44pm Maybe it’s a result of increased track speed on the World Cup circuit and the pros feeling like they need something different? It’s definitely interesting to see them all on it. Check out 6D for yourself if you’ve had previous concussion issues and safety is your top priority for a helmet.

5/12/2024 10:48am If the liaison times/distance/route were not published last year, I would say it is a bit unfair considering they were much more relaxed in past years. It would be like training for a 100m sprint and then being asked to run the 10k - sure you could probably do it, but it would be sub-optimal compared to training specifically for a longer race.

5/1/2024 6:17pm Good points, but look at the regulations: The jersey shall be a long-sleeved shirt whose sleeves extend down to the rider's wrists. -Check. Jerseys used in downhill events should be of a type specifically designed and sold for use in BMX Racing or Mountain Bike downhill events. -Check. (prototype) Jerseys designed for road cycling, skinsuits, or one-piece suits comprising the jersey and the pants/shorts are not permitted for use in downhill events.- Not designed for road cycling or a one piece suit comprising the jersey and pant short.-They don't define what a skin suit is with pinch or fabric regulations...

5/1/2024 6:07pm I don't understand the negativity about this type of onesie. Tight fitting elastic clothes are standard in many sport because they are comfortable and aero. It also doesn't look funny like full lycra skin suit did.
