1/23/2024 4:25am Fuck it why not 10 bars? 10 bars. All oversized bearings. Internal shock. Titanium frame. External derailleur cable but internal brake cables through the headset. Proprietary pull shock. And uhhh… dang. I think I got Scott's next Gambler.

1/16/2024 6:44pm Refreshingly SMART, not strange. The last thing the industry needs right now is somebody making a product that already exists in overabundance just because they can. Why waste any time, effort, and resources on making a DJ frame when you can source it as part of the deal with Spesh and get paid for riding it instead. We should applaud Neko's focus on what's essential here and actually providing some value to the market (the DH bike, in other words), otherwise they'll just turn into the 1547th "by riders for riders" company churning out generic flat pedals and handlebars...

1/2/2024 12:02pm To be fair, in the road cycling world teams are talked about more the way that Bizutch is doing. The team is really built around the sport director, and even when a team's entire docket of title sponsors changes, it's not considered to be a folding or dissolution of a team. In the case that Gwin is still owning the...

12/30/2023 6:45pm Kathy is one of the nicest humans I was fortunate to meet on the World Cup circuit. Always smiling, always took the time to listen, regardless who you are. Genuinely nice. I strongly believe that people with a demeanour like hers are an important part of what makes our sport different, special and approachable, close to the fans. Just had to say that. Mx

12/30/2023 8:44am Saw the new Rocky Mountain bike in Santa Cruz today, looks like a vpp with the upper link pivot about halfway up and directly in front of the seat tube. Rear triangle looked compact and burly. Two tone paint job, no stickers, angles looked good.

12/30/2023 8:42am Between the lines of your post is an unfortunate reality about Danny — the most memorable thing he will ever do in his career was over a decade ago, and is in fact largely about Rob Warner’s announcing, not Danny himself. As an aging racer with diminishing results, anything he can do (aside from coming back with another 2011-World-Champs-style performance...

12/30/2023 8:28am I don’t think anyone is saying people shouldn’t be allowed to race because of being quiet off the track. I think the argument might be that they shouldn’t demand as large of a (or any?) salary if they’re quiet and aren’t increasing brand awareness or selling product. My 2 cents is being a full-time paid athlete these days requires some level of demonstrated increase in product sales or brand awareness. If you just want to race and not influence too, then lots of brands can offer discounted, or free, products if you have good results and you will need a...

12/30/2023 8:27am To piggyback on this, and correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Danny’s dad have something to do with his contracts and negotiations and was noted as someone who was particularly difficult to work with? I don’t know if this is true now, but I seem to remember reading that back when he was on Madison.

12/30/2023 8:27am Continuing the chat of Danny Hart, I'm also in the camp where he doesn't really come across as much of a "personality" to me, but also not someone who's had particularly great results over the past year. I have a feeling some companies are also just taking a harder look at which riders are really driving sales. I know Danny's history, but how many riders realistically are going to be watching him and wanting to copy his setup or style? Looking at EDR, it's the same if you look at what used to be the Canyon team. I imagine a...

12/28/2023 6:36pm Wales didn't get an independent legislature under the crown until the 90s. American states are in many ways more independent than any of the UK's countries, and all states have had independent legislature since creation. PB Academy is a reality TV show not the real world of racing, and they selected a freerider. Freeriders are in my opinion still athletes that have to prioritize their skills on the bike. To say they're simply influencers first and athletes second ignores the years of practice & dedication it takes to perform those stunts competently.

11/11/2023 3:25pm It seems a little bit wasteful, being forced to buy the stock shock mount + The MX mount. Yeah, it's 45 or wathever euros and then you have the two options, but still, if you really dont care about big and flimshy rear wheels... Its a chunk of metal that will end up being recycled without any use. Other than that it looks amazing and a good evolution from the previous version

10/29/2023 5:30am Fork was sent in 2022, so likely a 2023 model. Oh gosh a year beyond release on a fork that’s still widely available to consumers, how utterly ridiculous for Seb to write about its shortcomings as a heavier rider. Who hurt you.

10/11/2023 4:32am maybe Loic should do a season in a Sprinter van, sharing with another rider, eating stale vegemite sandwiches, riding a flogged out bike and living on 100 Euro a week before coming up with statements like that, He's never done it hard, never slept in a prostitutes dungeon (wtf frotha?) It's a right of passage for up and coming Aussies and Kiwi's to sleep in a van by the skin of their teeth on a clapped out bike, doing surprisingly well and then party harder that night. I could name 10 pro's that stemmed from Vanzac life and prior. Came...

10/10/2023 1:31pm It's considered a pejorative in many settings; the preferred term is Romani BUT: "In the United Kingdom, the term Gypsies is preferred by some of the English and Welsh Romanies, and is used to refer to them in official documentation. [84] [85] The attendees of the first World Romani Congress in 1971 unanimously voted to reject the use of all exonyms for the Romani, including Gypsy. 10/10/2023 1:30pm The flex near the axle is from bending moment, not torsion. It is comparatively easy to resist twisting of a material, as opposed to clamping a certain distance apart, and then resisting bending between those two points. In fact bending (from one point) is one the more famous / infamous mechanical engineering problems for students.

10/10/2023 8:15am The entitlement that comes across in Loic’s interview is hard to deal with. Calling privateers “Gypsies” and saying that they make the pits look bad… Sacha Baron Cohen didn’t do this good of a job in Ricky Bobby!
