Surely the time penalty is the time it takes to go back and re-enter the track where you left it? If you don't want to do that, it's a choice to get disqualified. The existing rule is harsh but fair and leaves no wiggle room for creative interpretations.

I have no real dog or insight on this whole thing, I just wanted to personally say I absolutely loathe the phrase "No friends on a powder day." Ski with your friends no matter what the conditions are and you'll have more fun. I think it's also pretty telling that the elite racers I've met have all been friendly if not friends with each other.

Once Jackson's sister showed up and surprised him in the pits, after that heartfelt hug, it was pretty much over for all the other senior men's racers. I think she deserves a cut of his winnings, just like his mechanic.

Not saying I am on his side (although I dont think he has the entire falut in this) but if you go to his insta he actually rips on the ht bike. He's for example won Poland DH race series on it. If you watch his Yongpyong POVs (I think they're in stories) he doesn't seem THAT slow for a ht coinsidering its a bumpy wc track. I do agree maybe UCI shouldnt let ht bikes race but I'm reading pretty bad accusations and insults for the guy and I think he shouldnt be having that much hate for it...

that's a qualification rule where you are racing for a spot in finals. seeding you are in the finals as long as you break the beam and it isn't clear what the rule is for seeding in regards to a cancelled final. It's a different intensity for the riders when they know they are in.
