I know. Why don't you start Vital EebMTB? Or VitalMoped as Bizutch would probably call it. I'm a retired mountain biker. I liked to pedal. I've probably been farther and longer by leg power than you'll ever go on an e-bike. I'm sidelined due to Multiple Sclerosis and I have friends in high places who have offered me free mopeds and I've gratefully declined every time. If VitalMTB turns into VitalMoped I guess I'll have to retire from my position as a Mod and regular user here too. I really hope that never has to happen as I dearly love...

I love the internet. I won't speak for David, but I do think its worth pointing out you've probably ridden stuff he's engineered (he's ex-SRAM/Rockshox, specifically a rear shock engineer). One thing I find really interesting as I get older is just how much harder it is to ascribe real correlation to an event, despite what may seem obvious. Turns out, there are often many variables to consider, and anecdotes by themselves don't hold as much water as we humans wish. In your case, I'd wager heavier/smashier riders go through shocks at a higher rate regardless of application. How much...

Can of worms opened! Yes it's recyclable, but not into its original form. Can use it in chopped strand stuff. Resin has to be burnt. Very expensive. No-one really does it. Ally can be, but uses shit loads of energy to extract in raw form. Swings and roundabouts. No-one ever quantifies the environmental damage. Chose your material and be a...
Man...the appearance fee, wanting food & accommodation...those are benefits not even employees can get. Sorry, but this reads as Gen Z bullshit. Don't fly to the OTHER END OF THE WORLD to spin your bike in the air for a few if you don't have your own money, sponsors, contracts, insurance & extradition in order. These guys are talking like they are a single entity that supplies Crankworx with a set pool of "performers" for a "show". If that's the case, they should have NAMED a FLAT appearance fee for their collective/entity/company (insert name of freeriders here). You want to...

If they don't like their pay from Crankworx, they should get a job that pays more. This entitled mindset must be driven by a overvalued self worth to their sponsors? Crankworx needs to create some macro and micro economics classes as well as basic accounting with profit and loss education. Maybe slopestyle competitor isn't such a great career choice?

And so far all they’ve achieved is getting one of their main headline events cancelled… oh and a few forum posts. Great union so far.

Like people have said, slopestyle just isn't something that 95% of riders out there do when they mountain bike. With the XGames and say SuperCross/Motorcross, that's what you do. You ride a BMX to do tricks and that kind of riding. While people aren't gonna do SuperCross, at the end of the day it's still just riding a dirt bike. For mountain biking, most people can relate better to Enduro or DH. Slopestyle is like just some crazy circus act now that no one can relate too. It's not selling the sport of Mountain Biking the same way a racing...

Think it's case by case on how invasive the surgery is. I had one removed from lower leg/ankle that was right under the skin, but there are a couple in my pelvis behind loads of muscle etc that will be there forever. But yeah, if you have the same crash the bone will shatter all over the place in a...
