5/24/2025 2:58pm Hans Rey is going to be like those Japanese soldiers who didn’t believe World War II was over until the 70s. He’ll still be going to trade shows and doing trials routines wearing a full blue and yellow outfit in 2035.

4/15/2025 12:04pm DIRTBAG Factory Racing is a step back to our roots, when grassroots racing helped garner and build the mountain bike community we know and love. With world cup level racing in its current state, we are taking this moment to dive back into what we think racing is all about, riding and competing at venues that foster friendly competition for the shared love of riding bikes. These athletes are all passionate individuals that will be competing around North America and providing a rad experience out of the Transition tent and carrying the TR torch. Whether they are pushing for the...

4/7/2025 4:24pm If they're a negotiation tool at all, they don't come from a place of good faith. But that's par for the course. Pun not intended. The USA will always have a lopsided trade balance. It's the biggest consumer market in the world. In the case of China and the USA, think about how many things each produces that the other doesn't (Edit: this lost a bit of its meaning while I was editing it. Also think about how many things each produces that the other wants, but can't/won't/doesn't produce itself economically). But I suppose one way to reduce an import...

4/5/2025 5:34pm You are describing how a strike works. When workers go on strike they don’t get paid. They accept short term risk and hardship for long term gains.

4/2/2025 5:32pm Just to add some fuel to the fire, it's long been my opinion that nobody should feel entitled to make a living from sport. If you happen to be very good at a sport that also happens to be very popular, you stand to make a lot of money, and bully for you! But that's not a right. If, however, you're very good at an unpopular sport, just enjoy being good at something. If the sport is also dangerous, you also have a risk/reward equation to balance in your head before competing. But nobody's forcing you to take those risks.

4/2/2025 4:55pm Oddly specific rules, but also intentionally vague and subjective ones; think requirements of “exhibiting sportsmanlike behavior” and “positively representing cycling and the UCI.”

4/2/2025 4:50pm Nothing screams “claptrap” quite like a stripped-raw production bike that was covered in logos when it left the showroom floor 6 years prior. And if you’re chipping so much paint off of a bike that it looks haggard due to its paint long before the components become outdated enough for those to be the sore thumb sticking out, maybe it’s...

2/11/2025 10:05am Shout out big privilege, he's a good dude. Always up at mountain creek, just a normal dude that likes riding bikes (with a rap career). I love that it he brings representation for a minority in our sport.

2/11/2025 10:04am I can with 100% certainty say you're incorrect. "We're all better for it." is immeasurably short-sighted. I only typed that thing up because I didn't want the poster to feel like I was making a judgement on him (or anyone else). It costs me nothing to make sure the people who haven't earned any sort of negativity from me don't perceive any negativity from me towards them. For many of us life is hard. We're all humans and we all feel things differently based on what our hour/day/week/month/year has been like. I don't need to contribute negativity into anyone's life...
