No one says you can't share you opinions, but I am highly encouraging you to take this amazing opportunity to spearhead your own topic on this amazing form. You can gather all the haters and have a massive long discussion about your preferences in clutch tension in a cohesive form instead of interrupting a thread dedicated to the discussion of new tech. It's not that you shouldn't be spouting your thoughts on vital, it just gets tiring when someone wades into a discussion of new tech decides to complain about new tech. Not to mention the fact that this SRAM...

Who at sram hurt you? I think I'm on record saying that the only thing worst than The XTR cassette being made of plates and cheese is the awfulness of the microspline driver. A plastic spacer to remove creaking isn't a solution. Anyways, back to the rumors: Is Transition the new Yeti?

9/2/2026 8:06am I was always surprised there was so much talk of GoPro here before, it never seemed related to our topic (bikes). Though they've used bikers in their marketing and as their market they seem about as closely related to the bike industry as Apple or Nikon; now as closely related as Andruil or Flock.

8/18/2026 9:09am They made some of the least sick Ti frames, using Commercially Pure Ti tubing, not 3Al/2.5V. (Perhaps analogous to iron vs steel, or hi-ten vs 4130)

I run a 12mm strip of Gorilla Tape over the tubeless tape to stop spoke puncture. Reenforces the spoke hole while eliminating the irritating Gorilla Tape removal from the rim. Does make mounting fresh tires a bit harder since it nixes a mm or two from the rim's tire drop channel, but on the plus side the tire pops into place with any floor pump because of that increase in diameter. Picked up the tip from a UK site after a pal had a spoke pop through on a ride then a week later had it happen on my roadish...

7/27/2026 10:47am I encountered someone who accidentally tried to remove the axle from the derailleur side, as a result the threads got torn up pretty horribly. Be sure that you haven't done that, if you have retighten the drive side. Sram love using Torx. Perhaps they should have used T55 for this to discourage mistakes.

Yes, Jeff interviewed people at DJI/Avinox and they said tried to partner with existing bike companies when launching the motor, but were basically told no thanks by everyone. As the story goes, that's why they created Amflow bikes. Creating a complete ebike wasn't plan A.

Thank you chaps, I loved the pod (which I listened to while driving my Ford EV - they do exist!😁). Did you get any impression that DJI tried to partner with existing bike companies when launching the motor? I imagine if a large, established bike company were approached in 2021 with a motor that disregards the 750w requirement of most markets, that they'd've been 100% disinterested. Selling such a bike would jeopardize brand trust, their company stores, dealer relationships, required recalls, etc... Once you're over 750w, why not 7500w? Since DJI already have experience clashing with FAA, DOI, DOD, DOT...
