9/10/2025 10:52am Maybe not the most interesting news but - For you who run the AXS Transmission groupset from SRAM Apparently there is a new update coming any day now that is supposed to speed up shifting, similar to XPLR speeds. Not sure how it will work, since afaik its designed to shift only at the ramp in the casette to shift smoothly even under full power. Dont know how increased speed will affect that.

9/9/2025 9:22am They have another Avinox release in January, but could they also still release new Bosch frames concurrently? I think diversity is good but it's a lot to manage for a small operation. A lugged frame sure is sexy and from Crestline would be top notch.

9/9/2025 9:20am Bummed Specialized didn’t include this $3500 limited edition drivetrain on that Levo. https://www.sram.com/en/sram/models/gs-87-e-a1

9/9/2025 7:04am Sure looks like it could fit a bosch shaped touch screen. I can certainly see them making the lugs and someone else doing the rest of the work. If you look into the work cascade does outside of the mtb world, they seem well equipped to do this kind of work at scale.

9/9/2025 6:58am I think the 55lb mark is the threshold for "too heavy." I think it also depends on how the weight is distributed in the frame too. Meaning not all 55lbs bikes feel/ride the same. I was fully on the "get the bike as light as possible" train before I got into emtb's and I thought the weight was going to...

9/3/2025 6:28am If I'm understanding what you're saying something does seem off with your ochain, ebikepartyshirt. Might be worth a rebuild? I also get what you mean, the deadband of the Ochain is more resistance than the dead-end between the POE. I mostly ran my ochain on a Hydra so I didn't experience that. For a few weeks between frames I ran...

9/2/2025 11:54am You are correct. I'm spitballing here but I'd imagine whatever deadband you have the ochain set to most of it occurs BEFORE contacting the elastomer. For example, set at 9 degrees, 8 degrees occurs before touching the elastomer and the last 1 degree is elastomer compression? The elastomers really don't seem to have that much compression in them. The ochain...

8/29/2025 10:09am I watch the pistons advance when I'm massaging and if one is fast I'll hold it back with a flat head screwdriver until the others catch up or if it's slow work that single piston a few times. When new this is more noticeable. Also when new I massage them many times, without focusing too much on force every cycle...

8/27/2025 12:16pm A few days ago I installed an internally routed rear brake on a frame I'm building up that didn't have handlebars/fork installed yet... Out of necessity I attached the lever to handlebars that I then stuck vertically into the head tube. Call it an even mixture of laziness and ingenuity. What this did was place the bleed hole with the...

8/27/2025 12:04pm I've been using the Pinner cup and SRAM adapter on my Mavens, and using the overnight zip tie lever trick has helped a lot. But I also appreciated the suggestion above to do a car brake bleed. I might try that next time I have to do a full bleed. Mavens are really hard to get all the air bubbles out of.

8/27/2025 9:51am I added the zip tie lever trick to my Maven bleed process with good effect. In doing that I'm only bleeding the lever with the syringe by pulling a slight vacuum/flicking the lever, pressuring the system then closing it off. Hopefuly that helps.

8/27/2025 9:18am I've seemed to have good luck with it. Are you referring to using a syringe for ONLY a lever bleed?

8/18/2025 9:45am I contend 32" wheels are no longer a rumor as they're a real thing in existence nor an innovation as it's nothing more than a bigger circle.
