In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

I think that will be the next standard for mountain bikes. Makes so much sense. Make one rear triangle, let the consumer buy dropouts for their desired length. Crestline lets you go from 435 to 460 if you're riding MX. Kavenz, Forbidden, RAAW (on certain models) and others already do it.

In case anyone wants to take my word for it, I've had/have Akta knee pads, shorts, jerseys and gloves and it's all top notch quality and (my) style stuff. They also do some really good sales but the MAGA 33% duties for the US is sucky.

11/11/2025 9:06am I personally don't feel the lever is hard to pull in any way but do you want a light lever feel on a strong brake? Seems like it would be MORE difficult to modulate if light forces like trail feedback can have more of an affect on lever pull/modulation.

Stuff like this is so cool. No, I don't think Cameron's product is ready for sale today (obviously), but I love seeing creative people making something happen. Hope he's able to stick with this and develop it more. Seems like he's got a bright future ahead of him. And, in a perfect world, if he's able to work out smaller and lighter packaging and dial in his accelerometer settings so it doesn't randomly go off in the carpark, who wouldn't want an airbag neck brace for nasty crashes?

10/28/2025 3:15pm Fair point, park days were my intention. Even if I wanted to take a 180mm travel emtb on a pedally trail the weight, tires, body position, etc would make it miserable. Can't get too extreme with the spectrum of uses but it would be a cool option. Now only for a quick release headtube so I can quickly throw on...

10/28/2025 2:24pm If I have this already set up with cranks/chainring/pedals and only have to drop the motor/battery that's like 5 minutes fo easy wrenching. I'd be happy with my emtb as a mtb, it would be a true quiver killer.

As a comparison, if you have a more recent damper (3.0, 3.1 in the case of RS) a true customer tune from someone like Fluid Focus is going to be in the same $$$ ballpark.

10/14/2025 4:44pm I was looking at thier apparel a while back, I think the posted US rate adds in 30% tariffs. It's not just an even CAN to US exchange rate becasue there's no tariff line in the shopping cart.
