I've been using the Pinner cup and SRAM adapter on my Mavens, and using the overnight zip tie lever trick has helped a lot. But I also appreciated the suggestion above to do a car brake bleed. I might try that next time I have to do a full bleed. Mavens are really hard to get all the air bubbles out of.

8/27/2025 9:51am I added the zip tie lever trick to my Maven bleed process with good effect. In doing that I'm only bleeding the lever with the syringe by pulling a slight vacuum/flicking the lever, pressuring the system then closing it off. Hopefuly that helps.

8/27/2025 9:18am I've seemed to have good luck with it. Are you referring to using a syringe for ONLY a lever bleed?

7/30/2025 7:36pm It did not go as planned. Had to remove the tire to get good look at the area to tape. At times like this I miss tubes and not having to deal with sealant. Otherwise all is good.

Well just wanted to share some results on some tire durometer measurements that I have collected of some of the more popular tires in my collection. Method: All tires were measured while sitting on a flat plate of steel to provide equal and consistent backing support. Nothing was measured mounted. 7/24/2025 9:09am I've always cleaned SRAM pistons and massaged them as regular service. A simple wipe with q-tips and some iso alcohol. I can see the issue of using fluid on the extended piston intorducing dirt into the system and the massage would seem to accomplish the same thing.
