The best team deterministically optimized after the event has 15 riders in this case, yes, but an optimization strategy before the event will maximize number of juniors to improve the performance floor. Unfortunately, that's nerdy as hell, which might be why the participation in Vital's DH Fantasy has been declining...

The "problem" with Vital's contest is that with no roster cap, the optimal team is 20+ riders, mostly a swarm of $10-15k juniors. Junior Men value is like ~270 expected points per $100k; best Elite Men value is ~85. Juniors are 3-5x more efficient per dollar, which means a high-performance floor is generally tied to having as many value-pick Juniors...
Positives: Saves wear and tear on your pedal bike. DH parts are more durable and stronger, generally, since lightweighting is not a design goal. Saves your body. Makes you feel like a goddamn rockstar. Downsides: Needs a service before bike park season. Your other "big" bikes suddenly feel like they descend like shit after bike park season.

I'd want justification for why the frame is $3600 more than a V-10 in CAD, while a crankset retails for well under 500. It looks like a stunning bike, but that pricing really is well beyond the norm. 15k Canadian with alloy rims and 350 hubs. I would like to hear from Specialized what they believe they are bringing to the market to explain that.

Earlier this year I went to People For Bikes’ Bicycle Leadership Conference. I’m not a PFB member, I don’t feel like a shill for them, but I have an in person experience which seems relevant to this: I learned that they feel that e-motos pose an urgent threat to existing routes to schools, etc. They’re still supporting new routes, but are focused on supporting existing routes - because there’s a risk that reaction to reckless e-moto users could jeopardize all bicycle access to bike paths. Undoing PFB’s previous efforts. PFB seemed eager to have e-motos regulated as motorcycles, and the...

i am personally feeling like sram is making some serious strategic errors. shimano was against the ropes but they have some really awesome offerings in the the low and mid tier mechanical gruppos. maybe sram doesn't want to play in the mud but a LOT of riders just want solid mid-tier components that work. for people better in the know: where are the the two brands at for high end wireless?

Well that disproves the hypothesis that Fox takes special care of the forks for the press camps.

If it has GRIP 2, it's one of the old chassis. The new one has the "generative arch" and would come with GRIP X or GRIP X2.

Not answering your question whatsoever, but I just wanted mention that the Fox 36 GRIP2 is kinda crap by today's standards. I've tried quite a few over the past 5 years and none have ever felt good or remotely sensitive, I assume due to a combination of stanchion/chassis binding and the GRIP2's sorta harsh damping. I haven't tried the new...
