This is just the cassette that's used with the OEM only S1000 Transmission. That whole groupset kind of flew under the radar when it launched, but nothing new here.

Using chain wax instead of traditional lubricants is a great way, particularly if you live in a dry environment. Other options include buying a cheap benchtop ultrasonic cleaner. Bonus tip: Fill the ultrasonic cleaner with distilled water only and put your chain in a sealed plastic bag with the cleaning detergent and submerge that. Keeps the mess isolated to the...

Did I miss the press release on the new Ibis Oso? Reach numbers seem completely nuts, but I guess it's a touch less ugly and offers decent value. Oso - Ibis Cycles Inc.

Ironically, for the cost of 1 electronic dropper, you could buy 3 normal droppers and wouldn't need to swap anything. Bikers will buy the most stupid sh*t and electronic droppers is at the top of that list.

My experience as a seller this past fall was as follows: - listed a 12-month old carbon downcountry bike for what I thought it was fair, approximately 65% of replacement value [not a scratch on it, Factory suspension, carbon wheels, spare unused fork and rear shock], still well under the best sale price for just the bike alone - immediate extreme lowball offer for just the frame [rejected] - dropped the price by several hundred dollars after three weeks and no interest - dropped the price by $100 per week for 6 weeks, no interest - offer came in for...

I know you asked for help choosing between A or B, but have you tried C, D, E, F, G, H, or I? I haven't ridden A or B but I came here to say you should really think about C, D, E, F, G, H, or I.

Grip X seems pretty widely accepted as a dud of a product. I don't know anyone who's bought one (maybe a sign right there). The red site guys talked about Grip X on their review of the new Ripmo a few months ago, saying it compromised the bike.

I second the Mavens being too difficult to get along with if you like a light feel and somewhat sensitive modulation. I couldn’t keep the rear wheel from breaking loose when trying to drag them in flatter turns. Modulation during manuals was also near impossible, so I ditched them and went with my go-to, which is the Formula Cura 4. I’ve also been using the Dominions on a Santa Cruz Vala, and hate to say that I actually like them. I’ve been shitting on them for a long time because they seem kinda cheap. Modulation is really good and the...

New TRP levers have been spotted many times by now, I'd guess they're getting released this spring (again, guessing). I've got a lot of time on Mavens now with them on two bikes, but I just can't develop the feel for them. Plenty of power but at the cost of control. TRPs were fine when I tried them, but felt...
