6/6/2026 12:47am I was going to make a post about the core Lenz customer being a boomer suspicious of tubeless tires and dropper posts, but I thought better of it. Then I happened upon a boomer posting theirs with a rigid post. And I'm back because my soul is sour and withered.

6/2/2026 12:50am The amount of brand new Gen 2 optics still available online is wild given they stopped making them a good 2 years ago. I wonder if that made the 3 a harder sale, can't say I've seen many either

5/24/2026 8:22am I play a never ending game of parts musical chairs, but frame wise in my adult life I've had: 2017-2020: Canyon Grand Canyon AL, very XC geometry and my first 29", felt like I was absolutely flying everywhere 2019 - 2020: some Mongoose dirt jumper. Absolute boat anchor of a frame, and so was the rest of the build...

5/24/2026 4:30am If it makes you feel any better, I'm considering building one because I got a really really good deal on a Dorado. I live 7h from the closest lift assisted park, and ride park like once or twice a year...

5/22/2026 1:31am I’ve been mountain biking since I was a teenager in the 90s and the marketing material has never been as sober as it is right now and the products have literally never been higher quality. Thirty years ago you’d drop a huge stack of cash on 1.9” tires made out of QC-rejected pencil erasers and hay, they’d be hard as coffin nails and look leprous after three rides (several flats per ride), and the marketing material would be all like “God himself couldn’t make rubber stickier; this rubber is so sticky it’s gray; you can ride on the damn wall”...

5/22/2026 1:23am The thing that’s different with e-bikes is that their range will get slightly better every few years or so for the foreseeable future. It’s hard for a normal human to understand why the new Nomads kinematic is “better” but a longer range battery is easy. More ride time. Bike marketing and product decisions are so confusing and nerdy to normal people that this is a welcome change in my view. It’s easy to understand and directly affects the ride in a big way.
