This is honestly shocking. WBD is a private, for-profit company. If they decide Enduro isn't profitable enough to broadcast, fine. That's their business. But why does a private broadcaster have a say in whether an entire cycling discipline gets a World Cup? The UCI is a governing body. Its job is to organize, protect and develop cycling for its members, not decide which disciplines survive based on the ROI of a commercial partner. And one of the most important jobs of a governing body is to provide a consistent pathway through the sport. Local racing → regional racing → nationals...

I shudder to think what that nicolai weighs, my XL Range VLT is 30kg and it's a huuuuuge bitch. I have to put an event in my calendar to eat pasta and pre workout if I want to try a manual or bunnyhop on the weekend.

Not trying to be a hater here, but I don't believe that ebike anything will ever be the pinnacle of mountain biking. To expand on this further I think unfortunately the format you laid out has some fundamental flaws. First if the bikes are too light riders will just carry or throw the bike up unmanageable obstacles on the climb portion, defeating the whole hard enduro side of the racing quickly. If the bikes are heavier and have more power are they just lighter motos at that point? Furthermore if one manufacturers motor is way better can the athletiscm of...

Nice to see Kona putting out some new stuff - but it really does look like they've lost a sense of industrial design and branding. Im sure a lot of these bikes ride well, and are well priced, but they look like they could be chinese factory catalog bikes. I know, thats my opinion man, but I think Kona could really bring on a proper heritage rebrand with that crazy font and find a way to update their bikes design language. Still goes down as the biggest founder / owner short that I can think of, so good for them!

No specific models in mind, but it would go similarly to what others have posted before: 20: some sort of BMX that I would use once a year 26: classic dirt jumper, probably wouldnt even change from my current one 27.5: big fun park/freeride bike...

8/9/2026 1:32am I recently bought a pair of IXS Hack Race because they were on sale and have a hardshell-ish outer, which will hopefully make them survive a few crashes on asphalt pumptracks. So far quite happy with the fit https://www.ixs.com/en/products/ixs-hack-race-ellbogenschoner-schwarz With unlimited budget I probably would have gone for the Arcon LT, they seem real nice for a level 2 pad.
