After 2 years in the trenches dealing with fork friction issues, this is what I have found: In hundreds of forks taken apart and checked for chassis alignment/bushing fit, tight bushings account for maybe 5% of the friction problems. It is almost always the chassis/CSU alignment causing the issue. In rare cases burnishing (or opening up the bushings) is the only way to get any improvement, even though the individual fit on each side is good. I don’t think you get it Dave. We are going to revolutionize fork manufacturing on this forum without ever having visited a factory or even talking to a designer or engineer about the myriad of factors that affect the design and manufacture of said forks.

Fox knows that if you really want an USD fork you will deal with the hub issue one way or another. Can’t imagine an actual Fox USD fork customer saying “oh no nevermind I am obsessed with my current front hub and I am also too poor for a wheel build

I understand you worry, but I also know that Brembo make brakes for everybody in every field. If it is them that is behind these brakes (which is a fair assumption) then it’s fair to assume they know what they’re doing

I wish the Presta valve would hurry up and die industry-wide for MTB and everyone used something better as the standard. Not $50 Presta-shaped wonder-valves as the placeholder fix of the day. Maybe I should start drilling my rims for Schrader. Doesn't seem like it causes problems. Just very scary to take the drill to fancy-brand carbon hoops.
