Not exactly a tech rumor, as this is actually real, but worth a post here I think - BikeYoke has just introduced their new "Cockpit Calculator" (do you have a better name for it?), basically a 3D visualization of how changing your geo and cockpit parameters affect your riding position. It's a pretty neat concept, with a few nice use cases that jump out at us. Would be cool if you could compare 2 bikes at once to try to get them to fit similar. also would be nice if you could add reach, hta adjustments, or wheelsize. but would rather use this than AI to figure this math out for me. I think you’re both missing the point of the Tempo. It’s not supposed to be a light efficient trail bike, it’s meant to be a short travel bike that you hammer like an enduro bike, same as the Forbidden Druid (which also comes with a Lyrik/36). Nobody is buying a Tempo to count grams or ride blue trails. The 36 is the right fork for the bike’s intentions. I’d personally also spec gravity tires on it.

This was the first cut i did where the side kbobs were about 8mm and center knobs about 6mm in height. I did a couple of runs and it was quite squirmy on rocks. So i cut it down a bit more, so now i have 7mm side and 5,5mm height in knobs. The goal was tho have a magic mary with higher side knobs. Pretty sure that case went back to the original maestro bikes in 2005 that didn't have a shared lower link/shock mount. Probably why they changed it later!

I hate this chainsaw is a freeride bike thing. It’s just not. No one wants a high pivot for freeride. It’s a dh bike they made with too little travel.

Yeah, i really like schwalbe radial stuff, been riding magic mary for years now. For me if MM had like 1mm higher shoulder knobs it would be absolute perfect tire for me. Right now i'm experimenting with shredda front with cut knobs. Here's my shredda:

Sam's win at 2018 EWS Manizales Columbia in apocalyptic muddy conditions is one of his most underrated performances. He beat 2nd place by 47sec with a total race time of only 18min. No idea how you don't at least pick up the phone and send some product to the guy.

I know we normally say its the youngsters that got screwed by the pandemic But having won the 17, 18 and 19 EWS overalls to then have an abrupt halt to his international racing because of the strict travel restrictions of Australia which would have been the 20 and 21 seasons gone for him. Unlike the younger riders who I guess just sucked up the travel pain once and based themselves in europe, he I guess quite rightly didn't want to abandon his family for that length of time.
