I also would love to see race tape back. Or at least in some sections. Blind crests on the track, sections with trail braiding, hard direction changes all seem like good candidates. You wouldn't even need it on both sides some times, just on the outside or inside of the turn could make the difference. I know Dak said it would be really helpful in places and I doubt hes the only one. Also, whoever marked the course is a coward. Sam's corner at the bottom should have NO marking on the inside. This sounds interesting, especially the last part about Shimano! Maybe I'm just extrapolating from my own preferences here, but I feel that most MTBers who have been in the sport for a while thought the previous-gen Bosch motors were already powerful enough, and that they'd rather have the lightest possible motor + battery package at that power level than even more power and bigger batteries.

I was in the garage doing some work to one of my bikes over the weekend and watching old mtb movies... I had the thought of going through a few of these and re-watching them as a community and sharing things we noticed/appreciated... thus the idea for this thread. Maybe I'm nostalgic for a more simple time in mountain biking and mountain bike culture or maybe I'm subconsciously lamenting the barrage of short form content that evaporates in the blink of an eye. Either way, I feel like this is may be a fun way to re-live and re-discover these...

I always felt there was something special about only getting to watch your favorite riders in a full video segment once or twice a year. It created a sense of curiosity and anticipation that just doesn't exist anymore. With social media and constant short edits, it feels like there's simply too much content.
