The only thing a little disappointing with the zink bike is the shortest reach being 464. For a freeride bike i think something a little shorter in the 450 range would have been ideal. Im only 5'9" and can ride 460 reach but for a play bike it would be a little bit much

The fact SRAM state you have to complete these extra steps just to achieve a brake that works for their top of the line product (which no other manufacturer does) just screams poor design and manufacturing.

For me to enjoy Rampage you have to park the scoring and just appreciate what all the riders are doing - its almost got to a stage where the approach's being taken are so different its hard to judge and compare. You have Semenuk doing super tech on smaller features, but the tricks he is doing are still likely the biggest of their kind ever thrown, then you have at the opposite end of the spectrum Bren carving out the gnarliest most exposed route down the mountain, that most pros wouldn't even consider attempting, and then you have the likes...

What about not scoring each rider after his run but waiting to the end and then rewatch the runs and adjust the scores: For example each category has 20 points, a rider finishes his run, and judge gives him preliminary 15 points for technical aspect as he does not know what other riders will do. Then Brendog drops in into his absurdly technical line and gets 18, but then the judge should say, ok previous rider does not deserve 15 for his not so technical line and readjust the score to let say 11... And after everyone finishes, he says...

Semenuks run was nuts. Fs 360 straight into a huge chute. Biggest oppo tail whip done into a double drop. Biggest step down bf tailwhip. And to do it near sunset when you were planning on being done by noon after not touching a bike for 4-5 hrs in pretty windy conditions just shows why he wins at everything he tries. Scoring aside, there was a lot of really wild riding that went down this year. The level everyone is operating at in 2024 simply boggles my mind.

Brendan was scored super poorly. But with the way rampage is judged I never thought his line was a winner. His canyon is big but nothing that hasn’t been done many times over the last decade. And technical riding and small and medium sized drops have never scored well in that time period either. Hope he wins people’s choice or the style award cause his run was fantastic and deserves recognition. Tyler’s run pretty much epitomizes what the judges look for. I hope they get short down to at least Deore level. There is a need for good quality, afordable, short cranks. Sram has listed his SX chainset in 155mm but Im yet to find it for sale anywhere

As a short crank guy who likes affordable shimano cranks i hope the new saint has some shorter options.
