Loose over hard and straight hardpack. Some solid rock and chunky square edge hits on solid rock. Low, medium, and high angle descent terrain with bermed, flat, and off camber corners. Dirt and also embedded sandstone sections. The straight hardpack dirt is where I felt like the MM squirmed a bit and lacked hookup. The Albert even more so- its knobs are heavily siped and not well supported. Not the case with the TC. These tread blocks are solid in a good way. The gravity casing TC must be a monster of a tire.

The DHR/JUDGE/ALL TERRAIN style tread pattern is my favourite for the dry, sandy, loose over hard local trails. So. I'm thinking the TC trail pro front/Wicked Will rear will be my next purchase.

First ride report on Tacky Chan Trail Pro radials, super soft up front, soft in back, 22psi front, 25psi rear, 29" front and rear on a Yeti SB160 on DT Swiss EXC 1501 wheels. 1143 grams each. They roll fast for a meaty tire. Better than the Magic Mary. Maybe better than the Albert. On par with a DHF exo+ maxxterra 3c I'd say. Faster than an Assegai for sure. Not as fast as a Forecaster. Same excellent radial dampening. Big cornering traction with a locked in feel that is confidence inspiring- more so than the Magic Mary. No vague...

"Enduro" is dead, time to dust off "All Mountain".

I dig it. If you want the bike in any color grab a rattle can, tape, and sandpaper from your local hardware store. Paint job should be the last reason to not want a bike.

Did some estimations of yoke length based on difference in BB height between the regular and evo Levos since I don't have the evo yoke in hand. The yoke length is almost certainly off by a mm or two, but that doesn't change leverage curve much.

Yes. It would be going on a rigid single speed bike. This is a bit of a Franken-bike project trying to chase an old Unit build that I never should have sold. I’ve attached a photo of that bike below so you all can laugh at me. I am looking at a couple options for the frame but they all are designed around a ~495mm A2C. I’d like to run an Identiti Rebate XL fork (465mm) for peace of mind on the front end. I’m just trying to get 10-15mm more height to maintain geo as much as possible.

That makes a lot of sense, I appreciate that. I have been doing this so long I forget sometimes, honestly. I guerrilla marketed One Ghost Industries for the better part of 10 years and never got any flack for it. Different times now and I know I am a bit out of touch. I also don't have a lot of free time to spend in the forums, which sucks all the way around. Two jobs and a family with two younger kids each with an autoimmune disease (on top of my own health issues) makes it difficult. I also haven't...

Tacky Chan gets radial offerings, updated Ultra Soft compound, and a revised tread pattern (on just the radial variants). This revised tread pattern makes it a lot more friendly during corner transitions. Check it out. The Tacky Chan is also replacing the Big Betty. The ROMY replaces the hans dampf. Trail / All-mountain tire. It's our fastest rolling radial tire, and has a wide range of appeal. Comes in a Trail 29x2.4" wide version, great for riders who have tight rear tire clearance. It's my favorite right now.

My first thought is that the sandpaper thing is insane. Paris-Roubaix is 158 miles, and the mold release probably wears off in ones of miles. But then my next thought is that it's actually a good idea for the cornering section of the tire tread. The center tread is going to wear off super quickly in the first few miles of the race, but if you hit a weird cobble section or damp asphalt in mile 20 on a leaned over tire with mold release still clinging to the edges of the tread, those far edges of the tread that...

They're pretty niche here, but they're priced on par with Santa Cruz and Yeti, and until recently they were hideous. The ibis occasionally comes close to winning Australian bird of the year. I don't think most of us dislike them, they're just flying clowns. I suspect more people dislike magpies or currawongs...
