The reviews of the new SR suntour forks puts them right up there with the two big players for performance, plus they are designed for ease of maintenance for the consumer. I have a 2026 Rux on my downhill sled and i have absolutely zero complaints on performance, finish, or customer service. It’s a shame more big brands aren’t doing suntour builds as “budget” options, price for performance they are a great, quite literally half the price of a new boxxer.

Except that they worked with Tom Pidcock for years on the xc side. He was on a Pinarello which are not cheap. I think he won a few races using it.

That’s some good mathing Robot! I was there a total of 13 years across two separate stints of 5 and 8 years. It’s a long fucking time to do anything! My wife landed her dream job which required a relocation to Nashville. I’m enjoying some time as a stay at home dog dad and slowly figuring out what’s next!

A rebuild will take care of that. Replace the bladder as well as the all the rest of the seals. If I remember correctly the kit plus the bladder was under $50 from DVO… it’s easy to do at home if you’ve worked on a rear shock before. Even if you haven’t it’s not that much work to do it.

Unlikely, the front triangle looks to be production and I'd bet they're using the lugs from the proto with just longer tubes or something similar. So the pivot points and link lengths likely stay the same. The travel overall probably increases, both vertically and horizontally.

Surely not... Force everyone with 203 mm rotors to replace their mount adaptors when they replace their rotors (or switch to a different brand)? And everyone who doesn't know about the change then has problems with their brakes? That would be a disaster. Edited for clarity

Im just being an annoying ME now but porous ceramics are a thing except they are sintered from larger diameter media, under much less heat and pressure, and make great filtration devices. Porous media has not only gas but at most times liquid permeability of which ceramic pistons that we are discussing do not. These are most likely manufactured via hot press method that results in a non-porous but poor surface finish alumina or yttria ceramic oxide that's commonly called zirconia. Pal had a couple pairs of old XT brakes that were well, well, WELL overdue for some loving. Swapped out the caliper pistons to the Exnavi phenolic units I've used in the past with great results. I didn't read everything, but I can 100 % assure you that aluminium enters the chat when it comes to dirty fluid. QED, I've bled a lot of Code R and RSC brakes. The difference is that RSC is anodized, which includes the insides of the lever body and the caliper, which means a smooth, hard coated master cylinder bore resistant to wear. Unfortunately I'm an idiot, so I'll answer your question even if it is sarcastic. I found a known value that's easy to measure, the rear brake rotor. I set it to 203mm (as mentioned in a bike check from my memory) 16.2cm = 6.377 inch, rounded up however the app used rounds things and also not a perfect angle. Closest match for phone size would be a Iphone 16/17 pro max at 16.3 cm or a google pixel 9/10 at 6.3 inches. I'm going to go with the iphone 16/17 pro max. I should touch grass.
