Personally I find the “We’re the next Honda” narrative a bit tired when Frameworks have proven that you really don’t need to overcomplicate things to build a winning bike. Add to that the fact that teams like Antidote and Aon aren’t winning races or selling bikes you have to ask what’s the point?

For what it’s worth I’ve had the t type xo derailleur for three years and it has always been loud. The derailleur always seemed loose. Recently the spring on the hanger failed. Got it replaced and it didn’t help. The derailleur body (plastic) wore out and the clutch spring wouldn’t hold anymore, so no b tension. It was out of...

My 2017 Kona Operator came with SRAM Guide R brakes. Codes were amazing in comparison to those.

Excuse my French, but could we fucking please stop calling bikes "analog", "acoustic", or -the worst I've heard- "bio"? Bikes are bikes. Ebikes are something else. Now get off my fucking lawn you punks!

The Torrent isn't for bike nerds. It's for people that set it and forget it and spend their day lapping A-Line and Dirt Merchant. And for that purpose, the Torrent sounds like a perfect bike. Simple, reliable (hopefully) and affordable.

Man… this forum is screwed. Everything is turning crab, each new product launch is 1.25% better than the shitty unusable last generation, and now we are discussing solar capabilities on an ai bike that will more than likely be a kickstarter scam. The future looks great! 😃

99.5% of people looking for a GT or SC would have absolutely no fucking clue what Pon is lol. GT disappeared because all they had was their heritage, and that's not enough to carry a brand indefinitely as they pumped out mostly unappealing bikes year after year. I personally don't know anyone that considered buying one in recent memory. I had a GT bmx in 2006 and really liked it, so when I got properly into mountain biking I always looked at GT. Other options were always better. I stopped looking at them years ago. If GT was successful then...

Long time lurker, first time poster here. For some background I’m an aerospace composites engineer and spent several years in Advanced Product Development with an emphasis on environmentally friendly materials. There’s so much to get into on this topic and if folks are interested I’d love to start a dedicated thread on materials and environmental impacts. The TLDR is, carbon fiber as a green product on its own is a fallacy. The raw fiber production may result in a certain level of carbon sequestering, but the process is still so energy intensive I wouldn’t call it an environmental positive. As...

After years of dealing with hand pain, carpel tunnel and forearm fatigue the ultimate solution was an office job. I had previously worked as an arborist and a carpenter. The constant vibration and hand clenching/squeezing followed by riding never gave enough recovery time. I tried lots of things, ultimately it was an over use issue, poor internal structure (lots of...
