Yeah that is very true, I knew that and you're definitely right, the rear end could very well be the same length considering it's a high pivot there's really no need for a longer back end, chainstay length is also on par with the current supreme. I did some measurements with the front and rear rotor and the perspective is...

Unlikely, the front triangle looks to be production and I'd bet they're using the lugs from the proto with just longer tubes or something similar. So the pivot points and link lengths likely stay the same. The travel overall probably increases, both vertically and horizontally.

The Phoenix has over 20mm of rear axle displacement, so the shortish chainstays make sense when they’re 13-17mm longer at sag. If they’re lengthening the chainstays, I wonder if they are also reducing the rearward movement. We’ve seen other brands reduce it such as Commencal Supreme V4 vs V5.

Bravo, this is excellent work. I think the changes make a lot of sense from a product perspective, if I were shopping for a DH frame the shortish and possibly weakish rear end would put me off.

Back at it again with my horrendous image measurements, this time something actually bicycle related. I took the shock eye to eye of 225mm and zoomed in super close to align it to the centre of the shock bolts and scaled the image until the measurement was exactly 225. I drew a line to the middle of the shimano crank...

Unfortunately I'm an idiot, so I'll answer your question even if it is sarcastic. I found a known value that's easy to measure, the rear brake rotor. I set it to 203mm (as mentioned in a bike check from my memory) 16.2cm = 6.377 inch, rounded up however the app used rounds things and also not a perfect angle. Closest...

They used to be insane. I remember when they first released they were the best tires I'd ever ridden, with the most insane grip ever. Unfortunately when they switched manufacturing to china the rubber compounds became much harder, and grip in wet weather became absolutely terrible. The pros run softer compounds than is available to us, confirmed by Moi Moi and Gwin. If conti ever releases that compound, I'd buy it instantly.
