I prefer the krypto-r on the back vs the krypto-f for the riding I do. If you're doing super steeps, then the dhr2 paddle style tread provides more straight line braking, which is helpful for laguna and the santa ana mountains in socal. The krypto-f in back, is better for bike park or faster easier gradient terrain and soil with a lot of organics mixed in. IMO, the krypto-F does roll faster in back, so for anything but straight line braking loose over hard or scree situations, it may be the better choice. Regarding rubber conti ss vs maxxis 3cg...

Honestly, the Torrent has a better race geo than the Quake, it's got pretty long stays for a freeride /play bike. Honestly, if I was in the marked for another DH bike the torrent would be pretty high on my list as a bike I would race.

Do you think there was a potential ooops moment by a former Transition employee who lives in that area that also wrote the review? Or, maybe the PB guy who's also up that way? Either one most likely had that bike in the time frame that pic showed up...

USDH: Mountain States Cup in Angel Fire is coming up in 14days! They will have live streaming from the top to bottom of the course (FREE). Check out how they are doing it! I'm surprised to not see more Pro's signed up yet with the purses that are being awarded. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DY3VbOMt58N/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link…

I’ve got ~100mi and ~20k ft of vert on the new Tacky Chan Trail Pro Radial 2.5 Softs now, and they’re my new favorite tire. Finding the right pressure took some work, but at 33/30 they hit the right balance of support and grip. They just straight hook up in the loose stuff, are really predictable on turn-in, and roll freakishly fast. As a “I hate Albert, all my homies hate Albert” guy, I definitely did not expect this, but here we are.

It's not, thankfully, Blister has a photo of it on their review below. It looks like it's a short spring (5mm) that preloads the piston to get it moving https://blisterreview.com/gear-reviews/manitou-mezzer-mezzer-lt-gen-2

Have not noticed any significant drag on my OneUp hubs but keeping that in the back pocket as an excuse the next time I'm last up the climb on a group ride.

If we didn't overreact on the internet, does the product even exist? It's our version of "if a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" 🤣

Frame kinematics that require stuffing air cans full of volume spacers and are a big no-go for coil shocks? Hmmm, I feel like we have been here before.
