New SRAM stuff is prohibitively expensive. Still buy and use GX Eagle. Why would I need anything else? I’m a gravity rider…my derailleur goes through hell. The last thing I want is to put a $600 derailleur on my bike. Upgrades to shifting? It’s a drivetrain…I click the shifter and the chain changes gear. What is there to upgrade?

So ochain or chain device does not change the anti rise effect. Rotor size does not either. Leverage ratio does not change or effect AR. A flip chip on brake arm could change AR. Really just 10mm can change it. I have experiment a bunch with @Vessel_bike_project on this. He made a float brake arm for my V5 and for custom steel gearbox DH bike.

Is WR1 still made in Canada? I recently got a new rim that replaces "made in Canada" with "North American made". Stoked on the actual rim and warranty,but I'd hate to see it move production down to the reich

If you're at all familiar with the evolution of the drone industry over the last decade, you might have made the observation that DJI was to the commercial drone industry what Amazon was to the bookstore industry 15 or 20 years earlier. If you don't have a problem with a single Chinese vendor taking over 90% of all e-bike options, then I guess we just keep doing what we're doing. They definitely make a good product, but how hard will they try when they've wiped everyone else out? Just one outsider's observation.

Why doesn’t someone just make a weighted insert that fits into a hollow spindle? Could play with weights and even take it out if it’s not needed

Yes - I’m my case at least. Have 1.5kilo scuba weight strapped to the bottom of my Single speed V10.8 park rig. I love it set up like this. Increased the frame weight by nearly 30% down at BB and have no cassette or cable weight on the rear wheel. Works out the quite the change in handling characteristics in my experience

Its a shame UST never really took off. Sealant-less and tapeless rims would have solved a lot of the last decade's tyre related problems for me and many friends.
