10/14/2025 12:42am Ok here is my unified semi-conspiracy theory that explains the proto V10, Jackson Goldstone's bike weights, the mysterious lack of a Specialized Enduro, the development journey of the Demo, lagging enduro enthusiasm from bike companies in general, and even the Orbea Rallon. Manufacturers think that e-bikes are the future and are orienting themselves toward dedicating a majority of their efforts toward producing them. They have the following assumptions about e-bikes: -E-bikes have shown that the weight of the motor under the bottom bracket can actually play a positive role in how a bike handles. It drives the front tire into...

8/29/2025 1:06pm The general consesus has been that mid-height pivots are the way to go. High high pivots brings some negatives. The problem with mid height pivots is that your idler (and maybe even chainring) has to be very small to fit everything together, which brings with it inefficiencies. This way they could package everything in a way that makes sense kinematics wise. 2chainz is a consequence of pivot height, not the other way around.

8/12/2025 10:12pm FYI, if anyone else has 1 or more pair of worn out / destroyed Rapha knee pads with their excellent Rheon L2 inserts, I discovered that you can cram them into Fox Enduro Pro (the newer version) in place of the worthless Koroyd inserts those come with. The Fox sleeve feels a little bit more durable, but the Koroyd insert is a joke - no way I'd count on them doing anything for more than light trail riding (definitely not enduro-worthy). I've tried putting the Rapha inserts in Fox Launch Elite sleeves also, and that didn't work as well because...

8/7/2025 11:15pm That paint is sick but the black bit of the front triangle looks like a repair job where they couldn't be arsed matching the paint.

7/23/2025 6:07am I had the same symptoms on my rear one, after many bleeds still was getting the lever to the bar on long descents, also some crashes. Then I read somewhere that some batches of T4V4 had some tolerance issues at the master cylinder, probably a seal or something like that, sent the brakes back to hope and they fixed them...

6/30/2025 8:55am My opinion is that several people, including racers have tried it, and it led to crashes. I don't know the engineering or numbers behind it, and I don't need to, riders seem to crash more on shorter stems, I personally feel more comfortable on a 42.5mm stem than a 35mm stem. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
