I will never understand the “it’s a whole separate sport” thing. I ride my ebike exactly like my analog bike just do more laps. Literally every other person I know with an ebike does the same and is not going out and climbing up downhill trails in boost. I see plenty of e-bikes on the lift at the bike park being ridden like analog bikes. The innovation is happening in the motor and battery because the “bike part” of the tech has plateaued. Amflow proved this by making a decent riding bike out of thin air.

Unsure what you’re asking, but I think it’s aimed at how Avinox support warranty in market? Avinox doesn’t have centralised service partners or run it themselves in market, instead each brand partner in that market is the warranty point of contact for Avinox motors on that brand of bike. I.e. have a Amflow issue, your retailer goes to the Amflow distributor, Merida to Merida, Forbidden to Forbidden, etc. Each partner deals direct with Avinox and holds a minimum required amount of spares to hopefully keep bikes rolling. There will likely be pain points around new product/high demand and warranty soares...

The craziest part of the Levo R is the redesigned front triangle, this means spesh bothered to build new molds for a bunch of sizes just for this bike to save a few hundred grams? I could have totally understood if this was just a new linkage and shock to help move unsold frames... To their credit I will say the geometry looks great, and having it on sale today is a good move, because I think come April there will be half a dozen Avinox powered bikes that will be 2kg lighter for €2k less per build that will...

It's arguably needed a lot more with 12 speed drivetrains than it was with 9 speed... Hanger alignment and accuracy is much more important now than it was back then. And no, it's not the steps between gears that's the reason for it, it's the offset pulley that affects things if the hanger (and derailleur) is twisted around the vertical axis. It's a question how much it helps with preventing twisting around the vertical axis though.
