Maaaaan, I was all set to order a sweet new set of bars, then I just dropped my tire pressure 1/2 a PSi and kept riding the bars I have with newfound compliance and damping. But seriously, unless you happen to have something unbearably tinny (V1 SIXC and Atlas 35mm bars?) just ride what you have. Loosen your kung-fu grip and crack on.

It was said before, but I'll say it again as we're going into fall and bike sales drop off a cliff: if you're looking to sell a used bike and can't get what you want, find a bike co-op that's a non-profit and donate it for the tax refund. Obviously depends on your tax burden but could easily get you...

One ride review of the Wolftooth version, I quite like them! I bought them for the DH bike at the end of the season after some spooky moments (perfect storm: forgot my gloves, hot enough for sweaty hands but cold enough to chill hands in the shade, many park laps ending with a long trail ride back to the car)...

I highly recommend getting the Wolftooth ones instead of BMX grips. Slip on grips will run you about half the price, lock ons will be the same price as the bar ends. They are a rubberized plastic and don't feel too hard against your hands, and you don't feel a seam between the grips. Flanged grips cannot withstand the level of force and provide the level of stiffness that the proper barends have, and will give you a false impression of how real ones behave. I think it's worth the $35, and if you don't like it, it's only $35.

I mean, if you want to create the singularity, go right ahead and run it. I've yet to do a Mx radial setup (reverse radial mullet? traction party up front, business support in the back?) but if you do it I'd suggest making the front a Gravity casing, so it's a little more supportive and won't be a drastic difference...
I’ve been on board with this since the second that it was announced. Money in riders’s pockets is how it should be. Field looks stacked 🔥. Take my 💰

Remember the show Iron Chef, where the chefs had 60 minutes to whip something up and whatever didn't come out just right had to be served anyway? The food was usually pretty good, but the presentation sometimes missed the mark. That's how some of my writing is (at best) going to go in the coming months (or even years). My life has changed immensely over the last 12 months, and the time I have for side quests is now significantly limited. When I say I have an hour to do something, that's probably all I have. Much of my Substack...

At some point when you were a kid, you were probably told that you had to wait until the end of the meal to have dessert. So now, I’ll admit that sometimes I sneak a couple of bites of something sweet if it’s within reach before I even start eating. (I highly recommend it.) There are plenty of people who ride bikes and, when they finish riding—whether it’s a casual ride or a sporting event—have a couple of beers. Some have more than a couple. I think you can see where I’m going with this. This time, there was an...

Ohhhhh, yes! Mine is a Kona Unit that has accepted all the various superseded parts off enduro bikes gone past, with the exception of Schwalbe g-one speed tires. 2.0” with micro texture tread, they actually do a damn good job on everything that isn’t real loose or wet. Bumping around on the fully rigid makes the Bronson such a delight...
Hey... still one there, even if it's late... 😄 Hi, I'm Ingo, the CEO... welcome folks! Happy to answer your questions... 😉 Regarding your question about servicable caliper pistons: We only offer the piston of the lever as spare part, but not the pistons of the caliper. This has a simple reason: These are VERY tricky to install and without special machines (which we use in our production line) it is very easy to damage the sealings / quad rings during assembly. You know we do have a mono-block caliper, which means you have to install the quad rings and...

Our model is built around a roughly 30 rider structure for many reasons, including; Prize money: in year one we need to be conservative and ensure our prize money is impactful. If we spread it to thin it obviously dilutes this, Course: you can’t keep a course in top condition with too many riders. Course safety: while we are providing some easier options on big features, this course is still absolutely insane. It is challenging enough managing rider safety on a course with so many big features with 30 riders. This course would never work for a large rider field...

That’s….kinda insane. Not that you do it, but that it’s a required step to make the very expensive piece of equipment work properly. This should not be a thing. You should not have to do a non-approved and potentially seal ruining procedure on the regular.

Manitou Mattock Pro. Easily maintained at home, easy to do damper changes, stiff enough for a trail bike and I bet lighter than all those other options. I find the best way to limit myself from taking the smaller bike over its head is tires. Put on some fast rolling and slightly sketchy tires and you won’t be tempted to...
