If you are going to ride the bike park and the option for a DH bike exists whether it is renting it or bringing your own, go with the DH bike. Even if you've never ridden a DH bike and think "oh, I don't know if I need a DH bike, maybe I'm not fast enough for a DH bike, maybe I won't be able to handle a DH bike, maybe it's too much bike for me." Shut up. You don't need that kind of negative talk in your life. Get the DH bike.

DH bikes are worth every bit in a bike park like Whistler

My 2 Cents after spending years riding bike parks on an enduro bike but moved to using a DH bike this season is: Use a DH bike. It's so much better. The only comparison I can make is if you're a skier the difference between riding your ski touring gear in bounds vs. an actual resort setup. The whole experience feels way less janky and is way more fun. I'm a firm believer in DH bikes now. this NSMB article sums up the DH bike experience pretty well. https://nsmb.com/articles/downhill-bikes-are-psychotic/

I am not an emtb owner yet but I will be at some point. I've ridden several gen's of Levo's, some SC offerings, some Pivot offerings, and some Shimano equipped emtb's. The thing that was remarkable to me about the Avinox bike I recently took for a very short spin was the small size of the motor, the very quiet operation, and the slim downtube profile. The combo of the slim downtube and the small motor are impressive in their stealthiness. I am excited to see what the new TQ system looks like.

Unless I missed it I think its interesting that there has not been an article comparing the forks. I think would like to see one with a Fox, Push and Intend.

Why on earth would that specialized levo monstrosity only come in an sworks model... or even an sworks model at all? Why would the prospective buyer for this bike ever want factory level suspension, maven ultimate, XX transmission, with carbon wheels, bars etc? I envision the buyer for this being a commuter with too much money, a dentist that also does trail work or anyone with more ego/narcissism then common sense. Either way, none of the buyers I can project would want to shave 2-3lbs off of this bike and pay 4k more for it. The previous bike that was...

Transition has the dank taco truck thing going on Everyone in Bellingham works for transition or evil or Kona Santa Cruz marketing was absolutely tempting transition to post that photo on purpose Becasue the embargo was like a week away and the bike was ready to ship We got them all looking for ways to sneak the obvious and make it look sneaky or obvious Nobody got fired and many Tallboys have been sold Smugglers still heavier and spur geo Is conservative compared to tb Tacos. It’s all about tacos.
