Why on earth would that specialized levo monstrosity only come in an sworks model... or even an sworks model at all? Why would the prospective buyer for this bike ever want factory level suspension, maven ultimate, XX transmission, with carbon wheels, bars etc? I envision the buyer for this being a commuter with too much money, a dentist that also does trail work or anyone with more ego/narcissism then common sense. RR is the most successful enduro rider ever plus the sb160 the most successful enduro bike, why shouldn‘t they celebrate that with some special editions… especially when the successor bike is on the horizon

To me Enduro is the most interesting and all skills encompassing form of mtb racing. It's just that bike racing (other than Tour de France, which I love watching) as a whole is difficult to package and translate to the TV screen for the masses to enjoy.

Long time lurker, first time poster here. For some background I’m an aerospace composites engineer and spent several years in Advanced Product Development with an emphasis on environmentally friendly materials. There’s so much to get into on this topic and if folks are interested I’d love to start a dedicated thread on materials and environmental impacts. The TLDR is, carbon fiber as a green product on its own is a fallacy. The raw fiber production may result in a certain level of carbon sequestering, but the process is still so energy intensive I wouldn’t call it an environmental positive. As...
