What Avinox pulled off is impressive engineering but I would have rather seen them stay in the 90-100 Nm Range and therefore make the motor smaller und lighter. Having a Bosch CX4 bike myself (Canyon Strive:ON) I really don't miss more power but less weight would be really appreciated.

4/9/2026 4:32pm 34-35mm grips are the best thing ever. Cant even ride a bike with skinny grips. I hate the Renthal Kevlar grips I use on my moto bike.

Another review I watched said it's fixed on the M2S, and the M2 is quieter than M1 but not as quiet as the M2S.

4/9/2026 11:40am I agree. To much power and weight. I’d take 1/2 the power and 1/2 the weight, in a reliable smooth and quiet package. With a range extender option.

4/9/2026 8:46am Looks like I might be forced to buy a DJI bike to replace my relay. 🫤Now I’m just dreaming of a 300-400wh battery to loose some weight for home trail laps. My dream is a carbon tubed Atherton with titanium lugs and two different sized battery’s. Maybe by the time they are available in the US.

The Rocky Mountain Instinct Powerplay SL would be worth a look too. Could potentially over-stroke the shock and throw a 170mm fork on there

4/8/2026 9:12am This bike is so close, I just don’t get along with the Bosch SX motor. I think the tq60 is the best option for a mid power bike that rides like an analog bike. I know it limits the options

I love my Santa Cruz Bullit ebike, but under California law, specialized is now making mopeds, not ebikes. I agree with Hans. It's disappoint to see Specialized disregard existing ebike laws and try to compete with DJI for the highest power boomer scooter. 750w is a reasonable limit for ebikes. Let's let ebike be ebikes, not mopeds or emotos.

Gotta say, while not a huge specialized fan, there was a while there where i had to be like, don’t love em, but no denying they are doing good shit, but i think the stumpy and all their recent e-bikes have really missed the mark. I’m sure the new demo will be good, but that was developed back when all the good shit was being developed. Wonder if there were big changes over there, or they just missed.

super interesting to see that even though they kind of acknowledge that a super refined high-tech DH transmission is semi-pointless. They are clear that Dh is the pinnacle of gravity, so the pinnacle of their marketing efforts and it's also a big flex, 'cos they CAN build and sell this drivetrain. Unlike their competitors they have the money/tech/want to make it happen. Interesting.

2/22/2026 6:15am It’s cool how we can want or need different things from a powered MTB. And that options are out there. If 50+ pound Mtbs were all there was I wouldn’t be interested in an E Mtb.
