I hope the Rogue chain ring protection holds up well; I generally like the design and it's sleek and minimalist. It's a bit absurd to me that so many of the brands using Avinox have foregone chain ring protection. Legit, the motor could be 100x better than a Bosch and it wouldn't matter w/o chainring protection for me as it would be useless for offroad riding. But 2 obvious points: That only works on the Rogue. But for any of the other Avinox powered bikes, the universal option is the 250 gram E13 bash ring. Which kind of looks terrible...

First, it's true, I've never even ridden an Avinox bike. My ego has no need to be 'right' about the Bosch, but I did choose what I considered the best bike with a great motor system. I would have been fine with an Avinox as well. I think the current and likely the future TQ motors are the top product honestly. The M1 rattled, ate up too much battery (inefficiency was addressed with the M2), and yah the motor system was 1# lighter than the Bosch, but once you add the needed chain ring protection to the Avinox they are...

I don't think confirmation bias is exclusive to bosch owners.....

Always look at rider weight when looking at tire pressure. Nino Schurter weighs 150 lbs. he can get away with 17psi. I weigh 200. I cannot get away with 17psi.

Well from team muc off atleast Amaury have been running radials for the past two years, Myriam and the Alran brothers maybe less than that. So there is plenty of podiums. I'd bet that even the Dan he was using is an radial tyre.

Avinox built a decent product on round 1, and an improved product on round 2. But the basis of their success was offering Class 2+ that pretended to be Class 1, and this has cost the other manufacturers dearly in terms of sales, margin & market share. I've been riding Schwalbe trail pro radial casings for a year now and haven't had a flat. I think all the tread patterns in this casing range from 1050 grams to about 1150 or so grams, which is a big reason why I like them. I'm finding the casing just as flat resistant as EXO+. Its is not as supportive as EXO or EXO+, but 2-3psi seems to offset that for my applications. I think it's a Statement to ensure what bosch and TQ(coming soon) are going to commit to, max 750watts with speed restrictions staying within guidelines except for certain countries like NZ where bosch(trek said ok) recently allowed up to 45kmph. I'd Like to see some restrictions around Assist multiplier, Which is where the Avinox get's alot of its love, despite people saying "i love 150nm and 1500watts, its so easy" But in reality whats actually making it easier is the 800% of input - this is not talked about enough. I thought the battery removal style on the Levo 3 was quite good. You just unplugged the cable from the side (same as if you were going to charge) then undid a single big bolt underneath and the whole battery slid out. I've got to think that kind of system added a lot less weight than the giant removable side panels on the Levo 4 or some of the Bosch Trek bikes, or the removable bottom panel which needed to be bolted onto the bottom on the Transition Relay.

Really hope it’s a swappable battery with 400 and 600 options. 400 for lunch rides. 600+ range extender for backcountry missions. 2x 600 for self shuttle. Maybe even let bikes be run on range extender only like the Levo SL can. Perfect ebike right there and has the unmatched looks of a TQ motor. It doesn’t seem like Avinox is interested in this type of battery modularity so that’d be a great way to flank them.

Romy rolls well (for a radial tire) and has good cornering grip. Tacky chan for more enduro/downhill riding. I wasn't a fan of the Albert on either end of the bike. I find the Trail Pro casing in the rear pretty delicate and I'm not willing to haul a gravity casing around, so back to standard casings, at least for the rear tire.
