Finally listened to this: My theory is that this episode of 17 questions was really an elaborate ploy by the management at Vital to steal insider tricks from you about maximizing YouTube engagement, thumbnails, titles, content, etc. Crankflip to Abubaca is ridiculous. Didn’t know you were an Eagle Scout! That’s awesome. Even before mountain biking, backpacking in Scouts was one of the first things that really clicked for me as a kid who absolutely, positively, could not sit still in and be quiet in school all day, so it's cool to hear you has the same experience. I forgot about...

HOPE LAUNCHES THE 20MM GRAVITY STEM Hope’s new super short 20mm Gravity Stem has been developed to improve control and optimize rider positioning. Following feedback from some of the fastest World Cup downhill and enduro riders, Hope set out to design a stem that brings the rider's grip position more in line with the fork's steering axis. This gives riders a more upright riding position, distributing weight more evenly towards the center of the bike. The result is a more stable, neutral riding position, with less weight through your arms to help reduce arm pump and fatigue. The super-short length...

I had looked at that too. I do hit the bash guard on my trail bike quite a bit, would probably be a good idea to go this route. Also would bring back old school dh bike vibes haha.

Maybe the fine pitch threads with the UDH? I have have had an axle seize until I had UDH. I was able to get mine out, had plenty of grease on it. I have used some antiseize since without issue.

I dont see why It wouldnt work as its the shifter deciding how much movement happens. Im not confident to confirm that though, I went Advent MX Pro as it was cheap to try and I have not been disappointed, its interchangeable with linkglide parts

Bike comes with Shimano 12s mechanical. Thought once that wears out transitioning to 11s linkglide. Worth that in your opinion? Are the new RD-M8200 and RD-M8230 rear derailleurs interchange? Like could I use the 12 speed one for 11 speed linkglode with the correct shifter? Two for two on steel being real.

I use the SRAM direct mount one (aluminum carrier with steel outer ring). Lasts forever.

always Steel on an ebike... Both bosch and avinox motor systems are hard on drivetrains, Using linkglide or Advent MX pro 11 speeds are excellent and long wearing with Really good shifting performance.

I am not new to mtb by any means, but I do have on order my first ebike. I have heard that ebikes chew up chainrings. Do you all just replace with another aluminum one or go steel? Direct mount steel or 104bcd steel? Want your opinions! The ebike I will be getting uses Avinox m2. I am leaning towards...

The Madrone Jab with whatever shifter you want solves that issue. I've been on all the latest drivetrains from SRAM and Shimano, and the Jab blows them all out of the water in pretty much every aspect - price being the only outlier there.
