As an actual garage bike building hack I don't see any " garage-made welding vibe" here. I see pro level work, 3d printed bb/pivot housing, and spotless welds. The pro that welded this really shouldn't be lumped in with garage level work. You hide "garage-made welding vibe " under paint designed to distract from looking at the welding, you put pro work like this on display in pure raw form.

Great to see they finally got rid of the Switch Infinity BS. It was utter rubbish in the UK mud.

This is how Schwalbe tires die. Maxxis wouldn't fully rip off as often, but would be hanging by a thread. In my PNW experience, old-version MaxxTerrra 3C wore out well before the Schwalbe side knobs left the chat. I personally define worn out as notably worse cornering. So good job, you actually ride your bike hard. People freak out about a Schwalbe side knob tearing, but happily ride Maxxis side knobs fully undercut with no support - it's interesting psychology. Just to feedback on longer term performance of Mary Gravity Radial as requested... I have run Ultra Soft Front/Soft Rear on my DH bike (Trek Session) for the past two weeks at Tignes/Val, Pila, Les Arcs, Les Saisies, Chatel, Champery World cup track, and rounding it off with a 10km vertical day at Morgins. Faultless! The grip is sensational, it hooks up on lines where you wouldn't expect it to stick. It rarely burps (no sealant down the sidewall, hardly loses pressure after a day), and you can actually run at pressures similar to conventional tyres if you accept the...

It goes in the right direction for thickness, but definitely not for quality.. Stamped rotor for that price? Nah. In the end, once the rotor is bedded in, it probably provides 99% of the power of a laser cut rotor, but it takes longer to bed in, looks horrible and worst of all, cheap. Aliexpress rotors that cost 10% look way better .... Do better Shimano, you're lagging way behind everyone else.

stamped rubbish for the same price as a hs2? and $10 cheaper than the Really good TRP r5 rotor...... Much like apple users... shimano fanboys will lap this up.

I don't really understand bikes like the Levo R or Vala Lite from a mtn biker's perspective (the Vitalmtb member). You closed with it would be interesting to try the R with real tires and a real fork...well said! It would be interesting to get a marketers take on these bikes, are they really targeting the avid rider, where are they selling these bikes (which shops/areas buy the most, etc.). These lightweight e-bikes (at the cost of wheels, tires, and forks) seem great for a certain rider...I'm picturing the Lake Tahoe, Park City, etc. crowd who vacation at their second...

Somehow the frame looks visually nicer with 170mm of suspension, but when you see $9k for a new 25kg carbon ebike, it just doesn't feel like you are getting your money's worth. (I know spesh have amazing customer care etc)

I got a good ride in on the Tacky Chan Gravity Pro. These finally are the radials for me. They roll fast, brake well, dig into loose dirt, and don't squirm on hardpack or smashing berms. In the new Grav Pro casing, the radial effect seems less than when I tried the Albert or MM, but I think that's for the better. They feel kinda slightly more muted than a normal casing most of the time, but if you hit roots they conform really well rather than pinging off.
