7/3/2026 5:27am It goes in the right direction for thickness, but definitely not for quality.. Stamped rotor for that price? Nah. In the end, once the rotor is bedded in, it probably provides 99% of the power of a laser cut rotor, but it takes longer to bed in, looks horrible and worst of all, cheap. Aliexpress rotors that cost 10% look way better .... Do better Shimano, you're lagging way behind everyone else.

7/3/2026 5:26am stamped rubbish for the same price as a hs2? and $10 cheaper than the Really good TRP r5 rotor...... Much like apple users... shimano fanboys will lap this up.

7/3/2026 5:19am I don't really understand bikes like the Levo R or Vala Lite from a mtn biker's perspective (the Vitalmtb member). You closed with it would be interesting to try the R with real tires and a real fork...well said! It would be interesting to get a marketers take on these bikes, are they really targeting the avid rider, where are they selling these bikes (which shops/areas buy the most, etc.). These lightweight e-bikes (at the cost of wheels, tires, and forks) seem great for a certain rider...I'm picturing the Lake Tahoe, Park City, etc. crowd who vacation at their second...

So when the braking bumps spread out for 32" do they become moto whoops for smaller wheeled bikes?

4/28/2026 6:47am Somehow the frame looks visually nicer with 170mm of suspension, but when you see $9k for a new 25kg carbon ebike, it just doesn't feel like you are getting your money's worth. (I know spesh have amazing customer care etc)

4/27/2026 6:31am I got a good ride in on the Tacky Chan Gravity Pro. These finally are the radials for me. They roll fast, brake well, dig into loose dirt, and don't squirm on hardpack or smashing berms. In the new Grav Pro casing, the radial effect seems less than when I tried the Albert or MM, but I think that's for the better. They feel kinda slightly more muted than a normal casing most of the time, but if you hit roots they conform really well rather than pinging off. Really pushing hard into berms or loose corners, they deform and...

4/24/2026 7:19am Who’s ready for airport beers! Wheels up this Saturday. Seoul for 5 days and then the mtn for 5 days. Stoked to see some randoms from around the world screaming shirtless and planting some soju pancakes around the village.

4/21/2026 3:41pm What PSI? I run 28-30psi in the rear never felt a squirm on either radial casing but they fold over suddenly if I run less. If you want a super damped feeling tire the new gravity pros feel very close to a DH, or just get some Contis. I always found super gravity of the old to be a springy...

4/16/2026 3:36pm After the maxxterra update might as well run a DHR2? Enduro said Dissector takes a 22% wattage hit on rolling resistance with the new compound.

4/16/2026 10:49am Got the new tires. These things feel burly af. The gravity pro casing is noticeably more firm in hand than the regular radial gravity casing. The new TC pattern looks great too. Looking forward to shredding these.

4/14/2026 8:29am The updates look nice. I'm going to stick with MM/TC with the new casings and compound on the DH oriented bikes. I'll probably revisit dual TC on the trail bike later down the line.

4/14/2026 8:20am You're missing the point. For a two pound penalty you can have double the range. You can set your avinox to a low eco mode and have the same gentle assistance. The first time you try and go on a ride with your full power ebike friends on your TQ you'll understand that it just makes so much more sense to have a bike that can do both

4/14/2026 8:19am Categorizing full power ebike riders as "low effort" doesn't reflect reality. The best dh riders in my area ("retired" moto racers) go hard on the ups and downs. They absolutely charge, and want a 45-50 pound bike anyways for the dh. They also kill it on the climbs
