Arguments against Tennessee, and even Colorado hosting a World Cup, always include: "access to an international airport" and "lack of facilities" for racers. Lake Placid is like 5 hours drive from LaGuardia. Even if riders flew into Albany, it's over two hours to Lake Placid. Mount Snow is closer to both airports. Lake Placid was beautiful and by all accounts, a unique race. But would it ever have been chosen without this huge, upside-down investment from this "Regional Olympic" agency? But here we have some killer news, with world champs at THE iconic enduro venue and it has not made the slightest impact on here, the pink place or social media. Maybe Enduro is just settling into its post birth and boom place?

Went last year but only spent a day in morzine. Wasn't busy the first week of July and we pretty much rode straight onto all the lifts. Trails were fun and couldn't give you an idea of which ones we rode but it was unique to be able to ride to the different towns and back again. Topped off with a swim at the lake. Maples on Frameworks is a fairly good guess I would think but I wonder how much Neko had spend to get Asa signed up for a another 3 years . Might be that he replace Angel suarez with Maples , Angel seems to be one of the unluckiest riders out there with injuries and just not quite getting the results his talent deserves. As for Dak I'm sure if he's off Mondraker he'll have no problem finding a ride but if all the YT riders are after teams as well , there might not be too many fully factory supported...

There is a growing scene here. While things were regressing about 12-15 years ago, the last 7+ have seen major growth. We went from zero bike parks to five (two government-funded), loads of trail centers, a few "official," but most not so official, and government-funded pump tracks. The number of riders has been increasing, yet the mountain bike race scene has been dying. But that's more of an issue with event organizers seeing gran fondos as exponentially more profitable.
