Just a buncha butthurt Yankees in here. Finding it hard to celebrate a young Canuck on top of the game. The irony is that if Jackson were American, those same butt hurt yanks would be being obnoxiously chanting ooo-rah USA! USA! with hand guns blasting in the air

Giving up his spot to riders like Sam Gale when he could race himself tells you all you need to know about Wyn IMO.

Maples on Frameworks is a fairly good guess I would think but I wonder how much Neko had spend to get Asa signed up for a another 3 years . Might be that he replace Angel suarez with Maples , Angel seems to be one of the unluckiest riders out there with injuries and just not quite getting the results his talent deserves. As for Dak I'm sure if he's off Mondraker he'll have no problem finding a ride but if all the YT riders are after teams as well , there might not be too many fully factory supported...

There is a growing scene here. While things were regressing about 12-15 years ago, the last 7+ have seen major growth. We went from zero bike parks to five (two government-funded), loads of trail centers, a few "official," but most not so official, and government-funded pump tracks. The number of riders has been increasing, yet the mountain bike race scene has been dying. But that's more of an issue with event organizers seeing gran fondos as exponentially more profitable. Riders would love to have a proper race series again, rather than just a few events a year, and this is...

Rules don’t say what happens if a team folds but sounds like the YT riders are free to sign with another team.

any and all relationship drama and discussions can be started in a new thread in the OFF THE BIKE forum area, NOT The Hub - https://www.vitalmtb.com/forums/VitalMTB/Off-the-Bike,3 - any topics like that started in The Hub will be nuked. any more relationship drama and discussion in this thread will be deleted.

Loic’s dad is 10x masters champ. You don’t think he has been grooming Loic since a kid? I take it as Jackson had a passion early on and his parents supported it. I find it odd that this forum is about how riders celebrate after the win. I want to see hype, emotion and psych after they cross the line...

So on the Jackson deal, rooting for him this year has been the coolest since rooting for Gwin ten years ago. I can't hate on Bruni for trying to get in his head but Goldstone responded the Canadian/midwest way and let his riding do all of his talking. Couldn't be more stoked for him, I can show his vids to friends kids when he was shredding little bikes and then blow their minds by showing him winning world Champs, it's great for the sport.

I find it hard to root against Jackson for a bunch of reasons: 1. He's obviously a generational talent on a bike. 2. He looks like he has fun every time he gets on the bike, whether it's practice, in a race or at the local dirt jumps. 3. (Maybe the most important to me) He seems to be stoked for everyone. He placed 16th in Les Gets and is reposting Ronan's winning run. He's almost always at the finish line, waiting to congratulate his competitors. He might be one of best riders on a bike, but he hypes up...

I am not finding it hard to root for him. Now if he keeps going next year or two like this it will change maybe. I am enjoying his taking it to those who had been dominating.

I still don’t get how countries can force riders to wear national jerseys when the sponsors don’t match up. Countries will be getting money from companies , ie Britain and Shell, but does that pass along to riders who are forced to wear the jerseys? Do countries do anything for the top riders, or just ride their coattails?

I thought I'd seen it all... But then I saw someone hate on Bgoldstone in the Vital forums. A dark day indeed. (I can only assume they tagged the wrong person? Bgoldstone might be the most objective info, non-opinionated poster in the entire forum.)

I heard a rumour that they were considering protection for the World champ and World Cup overall winner for the next season. Anyone else heard this? Thoughts?

Kyle actually commented on IG under a post, saying: “not down for used and abused zones anymore. I’ll be supporting sidelines.” https://www.instagram.com/p/DNTQBFFOPm4/ So sounds like it’s by choice. And yep, pretty sure this is the first Rampage without him since his debut at the very first one back in 2001(!).

Stark AND Aiden? What have we done to deserve such a tasty treat. Finley as well. Maybe I'm being weirdly biased but if that's an actual rider list and not just alternates included, this feels like the 'freshest' line up for Rampage so far. And with one notable name missing from the list...

https://www.instagram.com/the_yt_mill_sanclemente/reel/DNa-wLNRhMc/ Oh... I heard YT SoCal was doing a 'garage sale'. This is actually pretty common for them, basically outlet/clearance level sales like ~50% stuff that is only sold in person as 'final sale'. Blah blah. That said, I didn't quite expect THIS. What they just showed on social media. That's... Different. I understand they are clearing old stock... But that waves a lot of red flags. I dunno. Would like to hear other opinions. Again, probably not that unusual. They have tons of outlet clearance on the website at any given time and are already known for doing parking...
