Obvious problem - where do you mount your GoPro? 😉

Think less of of the people making dual use of the same wheel and more toward people building up new dh wheels have a good cheap option regardless of their spacing. And one of the first to market for wider bracing for 148 dh bikes. Wonder if they will just use the dh front hub now for all front hubs...
No. Just don't need that much freehub on DH bikes. Simple as. OneUp is first I have seen claiming the benefits of using a 157 hub in a 148 frame with the slim. And Shimano could be cutting down the 10s dh, which does seem quite silly comparatively. You don't need such small steps between gears if you are pointed...

Not sure if this was discussed previously, but it looks like the XD Slim driver allows you to run a 157mm hub (and get the benefits of wider flanges) on a 148mm frame... https://www.oneupcomponents.com/products/rear-hub-157x12 Another nail in the coffin for 157mm rear ends.

What makes you say this? Listen to the latest podcast with Lief and Matt Beer... he talks about how he and Evan tested the Vanth before signing on and they love it. For Enduro racing the gearbox can clearly work. Lief and Hattie have proved it IMO. Its regular trail rides where the weekend warriors get all fussy about 97% efficiency and "at home repair".

The USAC XC “singlespeed” national championships were all just won on axs-with-the-batteries-removed last week. I announce a bunch of xc races on the east coast…it’s been a few years that the top single speed racer has been on anything except a full-suspension bike with an unplugged battery. An interesting note about most of the blinglespeed slope-bike tensioners… they don’t work with a large enough cog for most people to pedal uphill…

$381? This is for blinglespeeds, not singlespeeds.

The LT looks pretty rad. I actually think lower stack is the move, I got an XL Hightower 4 recently with a 658 stack and I had to lower the stem pretty far to get it to corner how I prefer. would rather have a 640ish stack and run a big riser bar. I'll look forwards to getting one on a 40% sale from Backcountry in 4 years... $8400 for a complete or $5k frame is indefensible for a non ebike IMO.

It's actually 127mm in XL? https://yeticycles.com/en-us/bikes/lt/geometry As an XL rider, this geometry actually looks pretty amazing, just need some spacers and a riser bar. Also the alternative color way is a looker:

Let’s just bring the Zerode g1 gear box design back. Someone make a lugged bike with DW dual chain and a Alfine di2 11speed

I think you have it backwards regarding their argument. I think they are saying that left foot forward means your right is back, which would likely put it in the way of most danger-eating objects first. You are more aware of what might strike your foot/pedal and try to veer away. If you are right foot forward, nothing else stands...

My guess is they’ll phase out the aluminum Reserve products to position Reserve as the premium product with a premium warranty. It would be a sneaky way to quietly stop offering a lifetime warranty/replacement on aluminum wheels too.

They're not new to ebikes as a manufacturer, but most of their work has been selling white label motors to other companies, kind of like Brose was focusing on for a while. For example, Gobao makes the motor for the Aventon bikes that Tippie is riding now.
