Split pivot bikes with the chainstay/seatstay pivot concentric to the axle are the obvious candidate here. Moving the caliper from the seat stay to the chainstay would change it from a 4-bar to a single pivot
I would challenge the idea that reduced derailleur tension inherently leads to better suspension performance simply because any time the chain slams undamped into your frame and the derailleur returns rapidly it’s going to unsettle your bike. It doesn’t feel great through the feet either. IIRC Vorsprung Steve argues that this is the primary utility of Ochain over reduced pedal...

My two cents on anti-rise... First and foremost, it depends on the trails you are riding. There isn't a universal value that's best on everything. Low angle trails, especially one's where you're trailing the brakes to maintain speed, favor low anti-rise. On the other hand, steep trails and/or trails where you're hard on the brakes favor higher anti-rise. Sure low anti-rise can make for more active suspension, but it's impossible for your suspension to be active at all when it's fully extended. Having the rear go to full extension also really messes up geo usually when you're in a scenario...

Crestline uses prototype molds. So he literally can’t make more than like 200 before they wear out IIRC

Even more reason that motor mounts should be standardized and allow the consumer a motor only option for upgrading. Less waste more customization. Frame only and motor should be way more common. But I get it, that eats into companies profits.

I'm riding one of these bikes now, fantastic until the battery shits itself 40km from home lol I figured out a reset of the battery fixes it, the arm of my riding glasses is the perfect tool to slide between my frame and battery and get the button. Been in the middle of nowhere makes you do Macguyver type shit.

You're probably right, but there's no way the parts for a full build cost 800 fun tokens, so there's a disparity one way or another.

The only guy in my area that I know riding the new Di2 has it because it came spec'd on his bike, and had to put on STFU hoops because the chainslap was so bad. I have the exact same bike with Transmission and get no chainslap. Deleting the clutch is such a headscratcher considering how quiet bikes have gotten these days, and how much we care about bikes that don't sound like a shopping cart going down the hill.

Saint drivetrain with 12sp chain and no clutch, now a competing UDH standard. (incoming 13sp MTB drivetrain? *eyeroll *) Can Shimano come out with a single new product without a braindead decision? Maybe the new brake rotors but come on that's not interesting or innovative. Also does anyone give a f about Shimano's new brakes? I've yet to see them in the wild, and have seen exactly ONE wireless Shimano drivetrain. Very sad to me because I've always been a Shimano fanboy because they made simple, sensible products. I woke up one day and all of my bikes have been...
