@jeff.brines a bit off topic but I seem to remember you saying in a Podcast you live in the Driggs area. Where are these e-bike races happening? A few years ago when I visited every area was heavily signed NO-E-BIKES. Some local Aussie dude ratted us out to Targhee patrollers for having two ladies on SL e-bikes in our group and they made us leave. Have things changed since then?

Thanks @notseanday. 1. Are any pros running DHX front and rear vs. DHX F / DHRII R? 2. When are folks deciding to run an Assegai vs. DHX? 3. Any indication if the casing technology will filter down to EXO+/DD?

Any questions about the DHX or updated DH casing let me know, both were my projects. In general the DHX does everything our current dry tires do, but has more capability for high load high speed conditions. I designed it to excel in the bike park oriented World Cup tracks but still not give up performance in soft or natural sections compared to current dry tires. Ideally I wanted to simply the racers’ tire choice: if it’s dry and fast- DHX, if it’s soft or mixed- HR3, if it’s wet- mud spike. The updated DH casing is pretty well explained...

I know it can feel like the phone is listening to you but that would break a bunch of laws- actually what’s happening is your friend is interested in a topic, companies have mapped your social circle and know you both hit the same WiFi network/voluntarily gave them your location, so they can make a guess that you spoke about x thing that they’re in to. A lot of data driven marketing is about linking up data sets like this, arguably it’s more skeevy than directly listening to you but there we are.

While I think Transmission shifts better than the the GX eagle AXS it replaced on my bike, I felt a bit disappointed with the performance (clunky and loud). Perhaps my expectations were too high.

My experience has been that this is entirely due to the shimano derailleurs (all of them, not just XTR) being made of what I can only assume to be the finest Japanese Brie. I was going through minimum 2 per season. However I agree with OP that HG+ shifts better under load than transmission (smoothness and speed). My solution has...

That's unfair cuz Commencal has like 3-4 teams so it's effectively a loophole Smile Well Jordan's junior performance and first elite win definitely helped, so it really ensured the form could be found again (eventually). But I am more impressed at Spesh committing to Finn who looked like he might turn into a 'what if' rider in terms of injuries. So, arguably, both guys. We need an uber stat nerd to see if Finn and Jordan have some of the highest variance between results since they joined elite. When I think of hot and cold riders, I think of Finn...

Have you completely given up trying to genuinely contribute in these forums? I haven’t seen a post in weeks that has a positive connotation or actually adds to the conversation. Please don’t turn this place into a pinkbike comment section.

Is that the rule? Are there rules? Because catalog snaps have happened heaps of times in the OG thread. Obviously don’t lose your job - but these are just brands owned by banks / syndicates / second generation founders nepo kids - and we are the 0.01% who care to see this stuff. newschoolers.com has an epic next year gear thread where everyone is sharing catalog snaps and tradeshow samples. I think this audience is hyper niche and most of the stuff on this thread never makes it past this group of weirdos. I’m sure bike brand product managers lurk...

Here's my experience on the new Maven B1 I decided to try out the B1 Mavens after my Radics started losing pressure (both side MC bores had scratches). I previously had a set of maven A1's last season, but decided to go with the Radics due to them feeling better in the stand (I nerd out on my bike more than I ride it). I've always used steel brake hoses with the Mavens that Radic uses. This is just due to them looking way cooler, there's zero noticeable difference in feel compared to original Sram hoses. I've also only used...
