6/6/2026 6:46am One bubble counter argument to the multiplier effect, defense spending makes stable manufacturing companies that have some free time on the machines that can then be used to make bike components by the enthusiasts working there (5DEV) 😁

6/5/2026 1:35pm Sort of a tech rumour? Remy looks to be on an Avalanche damper in his latest video. We know Vorsprung is working on a new damper, and they had noted they’ve been testing all the other options (including Avy).

6/4/2026 12:23pm Torrent is clean. Bottle rocket is adjustable freeride. Quake is a capable race geo. (Iirc) Different bikes for different folks . I freeride and park my race bikes - and xc ride my enduro bike. But the world does seem to want FUN 27.5 park bikes and the racers do seem to want FAST DH WEAPONS. Why can’t we have both? The marketing isn’t even for us. There are literally armies of 15 year old boys AND GIRLS! Getting really into modern freeride, just riding down shit and off shit and being park rats in jnco jeans where I live...

6/3/2026 12:20pm Having seen GoPro rent a chalet in the Alps the last two winters, ski, wine and dine clients I'd say they haven't been clever. And that was some mid level stuff & they'll say that there was benefits to getting big sales. Yes, very much enjoyed the comment of lame mates videos.

6/1/2026 5:31pm The BB drop is a good indicator. There's no way this bike has 32" wheels.

6/1/2026 5:26pm Pretty sure that is a 29er. I would be surprised to see Rock Shox release a Pike 32" fork before a Sid 32"

5/30/2026 3:29pm Alternatively, Madrone describes how to remove slop from the B-bolt assembly with new o-rings/washers. You don't need to buy their kit, they list the specs in this page and you can source them locally: https://madronecycles.com/collections/sram-upgrade-rebuild-products/pro… Side note: 11sp X01, XX1 (and I think X1 as well) have the "Configuration A" B-bolt mentioned in the Madrone page.

5/30/2026 2:38pm Which derailleur? If it's SRAM GX or NX you could have a worn B-bolt interface causing slop. Deore and NX have soft steel in their parallelograms that is easily tweaked whey they meet Mr. Rock, and then they're basically trash. GX and NX B-bolts are steel and wear the aluminum derailleur body if you do a lot of bumpy miles. Can be fixed with Hall Lock mod where you make the derailleur bottom out firmly on the hanger by modding or shimming the B-bolt. Derailleur can't rotate on hanger any more with this, so wheel swaps are slightly more annoying...
