6/3/2026 6:48pm That's a hot take on things. A lot of us don't care if a bike is inside the box or outside it, we just want it to be a good time. Oh, and pretty much all mountain bikers are uncool. That's fine with me, I don't really like the cool people anyway.

6/3/2026 4:23pm Jackson’s DSQ had nothing to do with the poles themselves, other than the wind blowing him outside of them. If it had been tape instead, the same thing happens except he’s tangled up in tape too.

6/3/2026 12:26pm I have to admit, I do not love the side profile of some of the 32" bikes that are coming out. They end up looking like XS bikes with cramped triangles and kinked bottom/top tubes. Hopefully more progressive geo will enable these things to look like something other than a 2010-2012 era niner.

6/3/2026 12:22pm Maybe I just haven’t noticed before on the other 32” bike pictures, but damn those tires look so close together.

6/2/2026 6:37pm Man… this forum is screwed. Everything is turning crab, each new product launch is 1.25% better than the shitty unusable last generation, and now we are discussing solar capabilities on an ai bike that will more than likely be a kickstarter scam. The future looks great! 😃

6/2/2026 3:20pm The website claims 50 miles of base range with 17 miles per day of solar, so that’s a 34% charge. For the 360Wh battery, 34% is 122Wh. Over the course of an 8 hour day that’s only ~15W of solar. With modern solar tech that honestly sounds conservative to me, as disgusting as this whole webpage is

6/1/2026 3:36pm Those 6 bar yeti bikes had reviewers gushing. I’ve had absolutely zero desire to try a switch infinity bike. If they follow through with 6bar non e-bikes I’ll be really trying to give them a shot.

5/31/2026 8:03am “What is the wire on Reece’s brake line?” is the new “What are the whistles for?” Also, are there really 2 adapters and 6 caliper bolts holding that brake on?!? Reminds me of the hilarious brake mount on the Commencal race bikes circa 2018 (I think). Comical that the bike with custom fork crowns has that many Legos under the rear brake.

5/31/2026 8:03am As long as there are tacos around is all good. You can't go wrong with tacos, even bad tacos are better than no tacos. Bikes are just bonus items for tacos.

5/27/2026 9:38am Very true, however you can also consider the other end of that analogy. You may be the best musician in the world but alot of that goes out the window if your instrument is out of tune.

5/27/2026 9:35am Have not noticed any significant drag on my OneUp hubs but keeping that in the back pocket as an excuse the next time I'm last up the climb on a group ride.

5/27/2026 9:31am I find bracketing useful - to understand what an adjuster/variable does on a fork or a shock. They don‘t always do what it says on the knob. Or do what they say, but at the same time also influence something else. To get a feeling, bracketing is immensely useful. Coarse bracketing can work even for beginners. Open the rebound all the way, do a short section. Close it all the way. Repeat the section. Most should get some idea of rebound. And there is endless possibility to go from there. As far as the musician analogy goes, I‘d imagine a...

5/26/2026 1:37pm I think the issue is not being able to establish what the problem is because your riding isn’t consistent enough and therefore you don’t actually know what you are trying to fix. No one wants to try to problem solve a problem that they can’t even read. You shooting in the dark, unsure about the validity of potential solutions, and potentially don’t understand the complicated relationship between all the systems so you might actually end up fucking something up terribly. It’s not surprise many people don’t want to tinker.
