7/21/2026 5:38am Interesting. I do find it super loud with xo
ebikepartyshirt Added a reply to Does anyone actually believe T Type shifts under load better?
7/20/2026 6:47pm Right. But I’m not comparing t type to eagle while shifting under load and I’m not comparing t type to xtr for durability. Nor am I talking about shifting speed. Shimano’s big selling point was shifting under load and it does it extremely well. As far as I can tell, it shifts under load just as good as T Type...
ebikepartyshirt Started a new thread Does anyone actually believe T Type shifts under load better?
7/20/2026 11:15am I came from XTR 12 speed and now have XO T type. While T type satisfactorily shifts under load, there is no way it is any better than XTR. It still pops and pings and makes some shitty noises when you are really hammering on it, just like XTR. To be clear, they are both really good at shifting under...

ebikepartyshirt Added a reply to Specialized Downhill Team Dynamics - Jordan and Finn Winning with Loic Absent
7/17/2026 4:02pm These are both the answer. Jordan and Finn are both really fucking good (and healthy) and now there is one less person fighting for the podium. When that person is often at the top of the podium, your odds are better when they are gone. Plus, off year for goldstone.

6/30/2026 7:29pm He’s suggesting that the benefits of electronic suspension would offset the negatives of pedalling with a high pivot bike. People complain about pedalling a high pivot bike. But if other parts of the bike were more efficient, and it brought you to an acceptable level of efficiency of current bikes, would people complain less?

6/27/2026 9:37am I just got some Hayes Doninions. Coming from a Saint caliper/ XT lever previously. I ride in a steep and fast area. I love the lever feel and the power is great most of the time. The problem I’m having is they seem to overheat and glaze quite quickly. I’m running Hayes metallic pads and 203mm d3 discs. Any thoughts...

6/25/2026 1:56pm I don’t think it needs to be reasonably priced for a $15k bike

6/22/2026 11:13am Spends thousands on irrelevant bike parts, hours on forums debating racing, and $40/month to actually watch the races is the limit. Oh boy.
ebikepartyshirt Added a reply to T Type Clutch issues
6/17/2026 11:47am It seems like there are a number of people that swear the clutch sucks and lots of people that think it’s amazing. What variables would factor into a drivetrain being noisey? I’d assume anyone commenting about the noise has done basic silencing tricks. I thinking more like: Suspension design Hub design Riding style

ebikepartyshirt Added a reply to Shimano Deore M7200/M6200 Mechanical Drivetrain & Brakes: Tech Info and Discussion
6/15/2026 8:06pm "However, it's rocking some dated clutch technology that makes the $35 price jump to the 7200 models seem like a no-brainer." lol wut? I would pay $35 extra to have the old shimano clutch instead of the dual spring.
ebikepartyshirt Added a reply to T Type Clutch issues
6/14/2026 7:51pm 99% sure. The clutch only has like 2 pounds of resistance. Shimano can be set up with what feels like 15lbs. There’s no way to change tension eh?
ebikepartyshirt Started a new thread T Type Clutch issues
6/14/2026 7:49am The issue is it sucks. Hyperbole aside, I’m running an X0 T Type drivetrain and it is surprisingly loud. It feels to me like the clutch on a transmission derailleur is quite weak. I’m used to running a shimano clutch very stiff. It’s noisy as hell. I’ve already got an Ochain and stfu damper top and bottom but it does...

ebikepartyshirt Added a reply to 2026 MTB Tech Rumors and Innovation - Longer and Slacker
6/9/2026 3:58pm We considered them for our trail crew but people were hesitant since they didn’t actually see the rack in person. They also debated whether there were many days that you’d actually bike in with lots of tools for one day of work. Vesus walking in with tools, stashing them, and biking in the subsequent days. I thought the bike and...

6/6/2026 10:50pm You’ve obviously ridden short Cs bikes and agree they are easier to break loose and move the rear around. A simple explanation is because a slight weight shift forward unweights the rear far more than any weight distribution from fc:rc and a short rear end is obviously easier to move than a long one because it is closer to your...

6/4/2026 2:10pm I doubt that would be enough to silence a chain. Currently am riding an xo TType with one upper and one lower stfu chain damper and it is frustratingly loud. Is it just me or does the Ttype clutch kind of suck? My question is, do you need to add links if you put on a roller chain guide like...
ebikepartyshirt Added a reply to Modern Geo Talk: Chainstays, Stack, Reach, and Bitching About It
6/4/2026 8:34am That is literally the exact opposite of flickable. Also long chainstays doesn’t give you more leverage over your rear wheel, the opposite is true. Also, long chainstays ftw
