It's linkedIn and his post is just a master thesis for him to save face on what happened. Shameless self-promotion.

You pretend like all decisions at Trek are made by one person (or team) pulling at levers. That's not how companies, especially the size of Trek, work. Unfortunately, its hard to get any company to make changes when there is little pressure to make the change. If things are good, or at least good enough, management is going to be very reluctant to mix things up. While I'd argue this type of vision and foresight is what separates good leaders from great leaders, what appears to have happened is the same thing happening at companies of all types and sizes...

Today I learned, Chris Cumming’s nickname is Cumdog. It’s a shame we aren’t in the Freecaster days, him and the Redcar Rocket being on the same team would have Warner pissing himself with innuendo.

It retails at over £10k here in the UK. I'd say that's more a case of one bike for the price of two.

If you want some crazy backstory on how the whole SIGNA sports background and how it collapsed, this is a great read. You can skim some if you're not into the business nerdery: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/postmortem-signa-sports-united-jacob-dud… It's from the VP of NA expansion and explains who the background financing/ownership was. This quote hit hard, for folks on bothsides of the collapse. " Today, at least for the U.S. bike business unit, there is a laundry list of unpaid vendors. Some have even attempted to hit employee’s personal credit cards with $80k charges because we weren’t allowed to put a corporate credit card...

Could be worse. They could be doing nothing. Smile I don’t get the whole e-bikes are bad sentiment. Sure I agree, you will get a bigger workout on a regular bike. for an overweight guy like me who is dead by the time he makes it to the top, to the point where on the fun part ( the descend ) I’m just too rooted and things get sketchy , being able to get some assistance up the hill to then actually enjoy the downhill means I’m actually gonna do it more times and still get what would be a...

That sounds like to good to be true that some savings on leasing the offices and shipping components 2 miles can be just a life saver for the company - but maybe so. The comments on pink bike suggest that the Bairstow business was sold to Orange - and the debts of the factory are written off - and I'm...

I don't really understand what happened (or happens) to Orange. Mr Ashley Ball seems to be an owner of P Bairstow Limited (which I understand is basically a factory that produces stuff): https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/0070… and this company was, indeed, in the administration. He also was/is a Director for Orange Mountain Bikes limited, which was also in an administration: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/0228… . Orange...
