I was going to say reference spoke tape or maybe colors based on what spoke gauge/tension if there’s multiple wheel sets.

One of the mechanics was rebuilding his wheel using the park tool video where they tell you to put the tape on as a "reference spoke".

Playing devils advocate here but isnt this problem solved with 1. progressive leverage curves 2. Shock ramp-up via volume spacers 3. HBO damping circuits 4. The severity of a harsh bottom out is way to exaggerated I'm not saying the stumpy is a bad bike, but "solving" bottom outs really isn't that important IMO.

Few thoughts here, being this is something I often think about. First, I agree that most technology changes in big jumps followed by long periods of optimization. I’m gonna go against the grain of most of you. I actually think the wireless only is a smart move. (Presuming they are releasing an alloy model that can run mechanical drivetrains). Having an already premium carbon bike that can only run wireless makes it seem a little “more premium.” People that drive Rivians and Teslas to the trail head will love that their bike is exclusively wireless. It is pretty incremental/vanilla, but it is interesting that as a 6 footer the suggested sizing really is a choose your own adventure game...S4 for a shorter, 'traily' bike, S5 the pick up meaningful length on both ends and more of a sled... That said, I'd much rather have the S5 chainstay length on the S4 for me as a guy that mostly rides flatter trails, in the woods.

Isn't that kind of the point of the Stumpjumper though? It's the Toyota Camry (or maybe more appropriately the Tacoma) of mountain bikes. An easy to ride and live with bike that appeals to the fat part of the bell curve.
