Are any of you interested in gravel and road leaks?

A dropper would be nice for the tuck but I imagine it wouldn't leave much room for a hidden motor in the seat post.

Nope. There hasn't been any evolution in road cycling since they switched to disc brakes...as for gravel well that's just old school mtb.

Yea if anyone cares T-Type 13 speed is coming to road/gravel later this year.

How? Isn't new SRAM Red releasing in a couple weeks in May?

Heard it said the new Red will be 13spd too. No idea about release dates.

That's difficult to have work when a T-Type cassette to be assumed given mention before this 'heard said' only fit UDH frames and then only a T-Type derailleur.  There's not a single UDH fitment road frameset.

XPLR Red pictures from weightweenies.starbike.com were photoshop'd images.  Stolen from 2chan, pre-4chan copyright claims, post-TruthSocial.com lobbing Baby Ruth candy bars into every known Swimming Pool.  ...near entirely above ground pools, which only goes to show.

Nice Hat.

UDH road frames DO exist.  A buddy of mine sold a few dozen to a company that makes bike parts over the winter.

You guys need to try the new Conti's... I'll never got back to Maxxis.

They are beginning to be this spring, just picked up Kryptotal's in DH supersoft/soft. Check with your local shop. Q is now the distributor so most shops should be able to get them.

The DHX has a larger shaft size so can effect ride feel. Frameworks most is most likely on a custom tune, so the limited HSC/HSR adjusters probably aren’t a big deal.

Neko lives 20 minutes from Fox east coast service center so there really is no need to have tons of adjustment when you can drop in and get custom tunes from the pros whenever you want.

Fox forks are actually pretty exemplary as far as backwards compatibility of dampers go.  I have a what is now a 3 generations old RC2 damper in a '23 36 chassis for example.

We're all (or maybe just a few of us weirdos) still waiting for 160-180 dual crowns that are similar weight, price, availability as the 38mm bruisers. Maybe the MRP Bartlett now that they have new dampers - let's see how those ride.

Sure seems like eMTB make a big enough market for trail dual crowns to be viable. Durable and stout for aggressive riders, "cool" looking for ebike full fat market just based on aesthetics.  Nose pivots are cool.

You can get 180mm air springs for Boxxers right now

You should also be able to get more linear compression behavior on the DHX without the preload from a HSC adjuster.

Wow, the whole 'first' thing is really embarrassing marketing. In no particular order, Fox, RS, MRP, Lauf, probably others I'm forgetting make suspension gravel forks. If you wanted to be the first inverted gravel fork, sure, but that isn't what they're actually saying anywhere.

Not sure how many of those forks anyone else is selling, either...

It's a little wider and so offers a little more volume. The DHR makes a great front tire and lots of folks prefer it to the DHF or Assegai. Most riders like to run a slightly wider tire on the front. Also, plenty of requests from bike brands that want a wider rear tire for e-bikes. More cushion for the pushin'.

Rockshox had a Mag21 for road brakes and a mag21 for cantilevers and 700c tires back in ‘94, only 2 years after Cane Creek had stopped producing the RS1 for them!

Ohlins announced coil conversions for both the RXF38 and DH38, nothing for the RXF36 though

After PB gave MRP's fork "product of the year" I recommended it to my friend (140mm version) and it was a lemon. X percentage of them have something off with their bushing tolerances and are super sticky. MRP warrantied it, but then after a few rides the negative air chamber started leaking, and they sent him a complimentary seal kit that he hasn't bothered to install, he just replaced the fork.

I've asked several people for reviews of the Bartlett, I've seen several publications post on social media that they are reviewing it, but then no review ever materializes. I'm assuming its a "we don't want to say mean things, so we won't say anything at all" situation.

IIRC Revel was specing trail casing / soft compound tires on a recent release.

Sorry, that would've been helpful Dizzy

Looks fairly simple unless I missed something. Small coil negative of some sort, doesn't look like there is any kind of HBO or anything like that.

Post says it'll be available as a conversion kit and/or full models. Their website took a while to get the coil version up, but it's there as of a little bit ago.

13 speed Sram road would be cool. I may be incorrect but all the part numbers I've got for the E1 still pop as 12spd. So maybe not red moving to 13? Or strictly their xlpr lineup perhaps? I'll have to do some more digging.

Yea someone just sent me a picture of our SRAM B2B store with that on it. Direct mount 13 spd is definitely interesting.

Is anyone able to answer? Not for the lols

Mullet set-ups work really well on e-bikes imo, but the e-bikes need lots of tire and a 2.5" is a much larger volume tire overall than a 2.4". Sure, mullets are cool on bikes too, but I find I can't climb as well on a mullet bike. But throw in a motor and the mullet is all advantages for me.

I only run 27.5 x 2.5s on the rear of my own Relay. Also, I prefer the geo changes that come along with a larger 2.5" rear tire.

As far as why this sizing didn't exist before, well because it would have pedaled like absolute dog crap quite frankly and the DHR2 is still primarily a rear tire.

I'm a pretty new e-biker and have only gone through a few rear tires so far, currently on an Aggressor 27.5" x 2.5" in the rear but I am SUPER STOKED to be able to buy a DHR2 in a 27.5 x 2.5 to test next.
