12/26/2025 11:50pm I set up a Spire with a +2 angle set and 27.5 rear wheel (low setting) for my son in law. We were looking for ride characteristics similar to my Raww Madonna V3 (also with 27.5 rear) and we are pleased with the results.

I've done all of the above: robots, 90, and X0 on t-type cassette/chain with a ground-down UDH (Hall-locked). They all work great. The SRAM 90 shifter is just fine, I've got no complaints with it. I sold off my robot derailleur and went to the 90 T-Type mostly due to shifter ergonomics (my brain couldn't get locked in with good muscle memory on the pod), but also becasue of battery forgetfulness. I'm a big fan of the mechanical T-Type.

10/27/2025 12:15am XO transmission setup with X01 shifter and derailleur for over a year has been the most reliable system I've ever used. requires a slight modification on the UDH so the small cog doesn't rub and works best with quick single shifts (like an e-bike) as that's what the chain and cassette are optimized for.

Lol, wtf am i getting dragged into this for. But gives me a better idea of who went to the hassle to make a fake linkedin a few months ago to sh** talk me there of all places. As far as which US races get points, go to the UCI calendar on the uci website and filter down to the mtb races specific to the US (or any country you want). It'll tell you which class it is. I can assure you that if the TV cameras for an NFL playoff game went down, and TV viewers could only see 80% of the field, they would suspend the game. And this is why there's major redundancy in big-time pro sports to ensure TV coverage doesn't stop.

On a related note, my favorite part of the race was during Hart's run a spectator was could be heard yelling "LOOK AT THE TIME" and probably some other Warner gold from that classic run.

Another weekend, another World Cup Downhill. This time the circus returns to the high alpine, loose conditions of Pal Arinsal, Andorra. Coming off the intensity of the brand new La Thuile venue, Andorra will feel like an old friend to many of the riders competing this weekend. It is a double-header event with XC and DH, so if history is any indicator, we'll likely not get a replay of Q2 (but we can still dream). Downhill racing takes place on Saturday with Q1 and Q2 on Friday. Juniors won't be live on YouTube, but the World Series has put up...
